Regarding the editing, again, I don't think this would put people off either.
I don't think lack of live feed is itself turning people off, but it gets rid of the show's biggest unique selling point. Why watch 3 months of TOWIE-likes when you can just watch a more well-produced shorter series of TOWIE over a few weeks?

That's true. Besides LF (which needs to be brought back), the only thing we can hope for is a HUGE row. It worked in BB5 and even worked in Jan for CBB9. The show averaged 2.6m for that series of CBB9, and Pantsgate got 3.1m, so a rise of half a million people are probably people who would watch just because of a row (so people that care about the show only when something exciting happens). Those viewers pretty much stuck around until the end, as the show didn't drop a lot from that point (same for BB5, it was fluctuating before Fight Night and then rose and stabilised).

But of course, other things...

- LF as I has mentioned.
- Advertising. A lot of it.

Certainly can see the point you're trying to make. However, as someone who doesn't watch TOWIE, i would argue that big brother's main appeal is that it is "real" people living their "real" lives. I watch it because i find observing how different people react to different situations entertaining. It's not scripted and it's not a bunch of actors (like TOWIE is). Having said that, i would never watch a live feed.

it was for me i watched the first cbb on c5 and that was it
not watched any bb since

and i have watched every bb show since it started

i only came on here to check if they had brought back live feed

if they had proper live feed at least at night i would have returned to watching it

ofc i can not speak for anyone else but i presume i can not be the only one

what people forget also is when there was LF then that influenced what was put on the edit show because they could see what was peaking the most interest on forums like this

now the edit show is the taste of what just a few people find interesting and they have to hope the masses like it
