Richards comment wasn't out of line. If a land was populated by Imogens and Mikey's then although 50% of the inhabitants would make for good eye candy, it wouldn't be a nice place to live as my IQ and physical brain size would shrink too fast.

Bit like Vegas really. Great place to visit but I wouldn't like to live there.
Although I agree with you, you surely meant 'GLYN', and not Mikey

I am Welsh and I can see that Richard was slagging off Imogen and Glyn and NOT the whole of Wales. I dislike Richard but I feel the need to stick up for him this time, he did not say he hated Wales or the people in it. He was meerly exressing his dislike of Imogen and Glyn.
I think he knows it would very unwise of him to express his opinions of Wales itself, but he has done himself no favours whats so ever.

Just beacuse you criticise two peole from Wales does not mean you have a thing against Wales itself. People who do not like Richard are deliberately misconstruing something he said, then going on a subsequent rant.

This thread is so touchy, Imogen is boring as we can all see and have talked about previously. Richard is just speaking the truth. Some Welsh people just cannot understand his canadian humour. Lets be honest it is likely that Richard will be up each week now until he leaves but we are not that certain that Lea will be and that is why she must go over Rich.

First of all I have nothing against the welsh but you must admit that Imogen is representing wales and is as dull as dishwater. All that Richard was stating that the two welsh people in the big brother house are not people he would be friends with because they are dull and cannot seem to talk about anything but wales. You don't hear him constantly talking about Canada.

I sure do wonder were some of the welsh sense of humour is, it was just coincidental that the two he likes least are welsh. If they were english I am sure he would of done exactly the same thing and voted in the same way. I know plenty of Welsh people and they are not as dull as Imogen.

Richard was not attacking the welsh, he was just stating he dislikes Imogen and Glyn which both happen to be welsh. If they were both english or any nation in fact he would of still nominated for the same reasons.

You must have missed the part where he said that it was no offense to the people of Wales. He was slagging off Imogen and Gly - not the whole of Whales!! I suggest you watch the clip again......

Its funny when it comes to Richard people dislike him and think he is sly but only really say what the housemates say. The housemates opinions on him being fake, false, manipulative, arrogant, mean etc just dont stand up or hold any ground.

Alot of what the housemates say about him is fabricated nonsense but he is smug and arrogant.

I agree he can seem smug but I think that is the way he is naturally and not smug in a nasty way. I don't think he is arrogant though. Nobody seems to be able to actually see all the good things that he had done, picking people up when down and how much of a character he is in the house. Either way this week we shall lose a strong character but I think that Lea should go because she is harming the growing of Pete and his character aswell as influencing Nikki alot.

I don't think that Lea is holding him back anymore, I just think that it's his tourettes. I still want Lea to go though.

Yeah but he hasn't been talking to Glyn either. I'm not sure about it. When she leaves it will hit him hard, but he needs to stand on his own two feet.

Now tell the truth..

he didn't slag off the whole of Wales. He said if Wales is full of people like Imogen and Glyn he wouldnt' go there.

He was only slagging off Imogen and Glyn. He even apologised to Wales for this.
THANK YOU

why do people get beside themselves, did i watch a different BB to everyone else? if i was in the house & i was in richards position i would have said the same thing! i have been to wales & obviously there are all kinds of people there, but glyn & imogen do make out that wales is boring due to their characters. obviously canada isnt filled with people like richard is it? & im sure canada is a beautiful place & i wont let richard put me off going there! get a grip you lot. americans could say the same thing when they see prince harry, but im sure 90% of us are not like that. Glitter more or less hit the nail on the head. this thread is over...

The fact that I don't like Richard wouldn't put me off going to flippin Canada!

My original post was tongue in cheek anyway, but it was still a needless comment. It will offend alot of peopple in Wales and that's a fact. It won't do him any favours with the public at all. Remember the Grace; wigga comment? Mountains get made out of mole hills.

But Richard was clear that he was talking about them two people and not Wales, people are just taking it to serious and far. If the welsh are being honest I am sure they would of picked more lively characters if they had the choice.

After a slow start, Glyn is one of the most entertaining housemates. Imogen however, is incredibly dull.

I wouldn't say he is constant entertainment, he comes out with a few daft lines here and there but I wouldn't class him as entertaining as say Science or Maxwell who both were always entertaining and good to watch. Glyn isn't no way as near as entertaining as them. But suppose everyone finds different things entertaining

Oh I agree with Richard... Wales sucks!! I know loads of Imogens and Glyns who live there. But yeah I agree with most of you, he was only saying it about those 2, not the whole nation.

You are soooooo wrong. You have totally twisted what he said. He actually said that it looks like he doesnt like wales but its not the case.

Why shouldnt he be allowed to vote them both???

Sadly, this forum is getting a bit like that hunny. I think Lea and Nikki are having a negative effect on the viewers this year, and it seems a lot of the FMs are over-sensitive to every little remark....

It's like walking on eggshells sometimes on here...

Richard does have a point, ok he may have worded it wrong or gone a bit OTT, but he does have a valid point.

Its nice to hear about peoples background and culture now and again, but you dont want to keep hearing about the same old rubbish.."wales this, wales that". He said ages ago that he would only marry a Welsh women. Correct me if im wrong but im sure if a English male said he would only marry an English women, he would be slaughtered.

Glyn is so wrapped up in Wales that hes not interested in learning about different other cultures, Richard doesnt bang on about Canada all the time does he?

Its the same old story in the UK.....Northern Irish, Welsh and Scottish are allowed to wallow in their countryland and be patriotic, but English people are not alllowed too.

That is utter boll0cks. Sorry, but that is completely unsubstantiated.

Whoever said English people were not allowed to be patriotic or proud of their country?
