I have no idea why Sara's odds have shortened so dramatically? If anything, this week has made me think her odds would considerably lengthen so it's really confusing me

I think defending Deana maybe. Odds wise, it seems like whoever argues with Deana drops, it's been like that for weeks. So the punters seem to think that Deana could be popular if they are placing money on her more than any other and thinking whoever rows with her hasn't got a chance. That's what I have realized. Whenever a HM defends Deana, they shorten to win, just like Scott did when they were getting along.

If Lauren stays on Friday, I think she will win.

I'm honestly not sure who would win out of Adam, Lauren and Deana but I'm pretty sure none of them will be beaten by insiders in the final.

I really want Lauren or Adam to win but would not be disappointed if Deana is the only outsider left and wins it.

TBH I get a kick out of reading digitals posts (sorry dont know if you are male or female) but I hate being poked and will fight my corner if need be. If you read my posts, they are pointed but never nasty and if it is a returned poke, there is always levity in it somewhere. I am not an aggressive person nor am I a dick, I just dont like to be poked and humiliated or underminded.

Jesus you and i have crossed swords on a few occassions but Ive never been rude have I. In fact the very people sticking up for me have infracted me several times and \i deserved it. I argued one sentence too much so I took it on the chin but i am never nasty. Got to go to bow bows now so have a great night and lets hope Deana dosnt choke on her own venom, lol.

I like that your posts are always thought-out Sam, in fact I think you might have a lot to offer to TiBB actually. But the hate in every thread is starting to grate. Let fans be fans and of course have your say when appropriate but it doesnt need to be the same thing repeated at any opportunity of a new thread.

The thing with fans is that they put a positive spin on the forum, haters make the forum quite negative. Dont get me wrong I give my fair share on Conor and now Becky but not everywhere and I try not to throw BS around about them. I like to keep it short and sweet (well maybe sour idk) because just talking about them can do my head-in after a while.

But no I certainly dont think youre a dick, especially just because we have different opinions. Thats why I like TiBB, because its a place where different opinions can meet and collide.

Point taken and I will reign in the nasty comments in the future. In my own defence, I guess I felt the need to shout louder (posting with poignant venom) because I was in the minority and felt like a loud shout counts for 4 soft ones, but you are right, it dosent help the forum.

TBH if someone comes back at one of my ideas or points and write a long diatribe of BS about me, I can handle it, but the ones that wind me up are the smart arses that come back with or or little ditties like yeah whatever, or ignore him etc etc. Those get my old Irish dander up and I resort to verbal assasination. Today is a new day and I will try a different tact. All because of you Jords.

Folks, just for anybody who doesn't know, the bookies base their odds entirely on the amount of money that has been wagered (and that they consequently expect will be wagered) on any candidate. They use simple (though not simple enough that I could follow it!) maths to compute what their payout will be if any candidate wins. If the payout is too high and eats into their set margin, they'll shorten the odds on that candidate. Thus, Deana is favourite only because there's been more money put on her, than any of the others. They're not offering you an opinion of their own, but their odds do reflect the opinion of the people who're putting money on.

Now to the Deana situation. I've liked the girl since the start. But I'm kind of thinking she should walk now? I mean she is completely isolated in there. All the harrassment would melt anybody's head. Whatever she does, she'll be accussed of horrid behaviour. She can't win.

It is actually an interesting commentary on the human gang mentality. All of would like to think we'd stand up for the isolated housemate, but all evidence points to the contrary. It seems that if people are drip fed a story about a loner being a sneak, they will, without any clear cut evidence, eventually believe the story. They will persuade themsleves that instinct is more important than evidence, that all the others can't be wrong, and that the worst sin is their being taken for a mug. We'd all like to think that we'd wait for real evidence - but watching this show - it seems we wouldn't.

I think and am sure people here with more knowledge than me will correct me but Alex was favourite with the bookies last year for a fair while.
The bookies just want money, few housemates have been up for eviction this series,6 of the remaining 11 housemates have never been nominated for eviction, there has been really no strong public test as to their support.

Also from previous BB series, the favourites with them rarely win really,(as with horse racing too, I don't gamble really but loads of favourites at the bookies rarely win there too, even odds on ones).

The bookies also prefer favourites not to win because they pay less out then if they don't so they will just take money from anyone on virtually anything.
I take very little notice of the bookies really as they have been proven wrong on so many past winners.
They do better on evictions but even there usually only on the straight 2 way battles.

Funny pics and gifs are not hated here at all, infact its quite the opposite, we post a lot of them but when they are used to delibrately try to rile a member up because they have a different opinion then its a whole different story.

Also certain members are attacking anyone who posts the slightest negative comment about thier favourite housemate, that is not on tbh, the rules have been bumped enough and we have given plenty of warnings about it on the main forum so if it contues then it will be infractions from now on.

I have some knowledge of making a book. The odds offered are calculated on payouts to give the bookie an overall percentage win margin. Before forming a book, bookies go in form and in this case they look at the forums. After this they calclate the amount of bets placed and form a percentage book based on loss and win ratios.

If say for example Conor is around 33/1 and he saves a dying kitten, the bookies will without money on him, shorten his odds becasue of a percieved shift through a good dee. If he on the other hand slaps a girl, his odds will drift for the same reasons and he hasnt had a penny on his ass from either events.

Trust me, the odds compilers at corals or Hills read these forums and take notice of whats what. They hate to wait for the smart money, they are always one step ahead. I backed Luke a at 1/2 to be evicted and he is now 2/5 and will go to worse than 1/4 by tomorrow.

I don't know why, but when I read the BB forums, as I am not watching, I always get the Aisleyne effect vibe from posts re Deana, I never liked Aisleyne, but she played an astute game, but still only managed third place, even though near enough being hailed a saint on BB forums, so maybe Deana is having that Aisleyne effect, The same went for Alex last year, another who played an astute game was percieved to be the outright winner with the bookies, yet only managed third behind that rat Jay.

As usual though, BB will likely want a hero and a villian in the final two, so maybe we shouldn't be too surprised if Conor is there?

I don't think Deanas going to win!. I think shes a nice person, I wouldn't say shes calculated she can stand up for herself. I just feel some one like Adam, Lauren or even Sara may win!
