I wouldn't be surprised if many teachers did have a wee fancy for some of their pupils - as you say though: most don't tend to act on it.

Hell, who knows: they may live happily ever after and prove the majority wrong - but I think he (they) should have waited till she wasn't jail bait and acted a bit more maturely.

Absolutely agree - though the only person who would be able to ascertain if this was something more sinisiter on his behalf, or if it's him suddenly letting his heart (or nether regions) rule his head - would be him.

But it's def wrong and serious betrayal of trust for the position he held. (it will be past tense now I'm sure).

This snippet from the article is so sad - it sounds as though he's trying to let her know that it doesn't matter, long as she's okay, they still love her all the same: as well as trying to indicate if it's not been 'her own choice' to go - that they are doing 'what they can'.

the guy needs to man up: if it's a love/lust thing and nothing more sinister: he needs to get a grip and put her parents out of their misery. He's meant to be the adult: meant to be the responsible one.
