Paying £10 or so to download a film seems like youre getting completely ripped off. There is nothing like going into a shop like HMV and browsing, coming across stuff you weren't necessarily looking for and buying a physical copy of something you can always transfer to your PC later. You can't get that with the internet (besides amazon and play) so I just hope they can continue to trade, probably in a more condensed form, with fewer stores etc. They have branched out too much with gadgets and technology etc in the past few years, so they should stick to films and music and maybe games if they do survive.

But for £6 a month, you can watch any number of films and tv series online with Netflix, there's no limit.

the high street as we knew it , is dead ....in the UK 10 years ago 6% bought their goods online ...now its 74%....the only ones who survive will need to go with the online side of the business quick....even giants like marks may one day fall

They're closing the HMV Trocadero. I love that shop. Oh well, at least the one in Oxford Street is stying open.
