Arista, nobody thinks that is acceptable! working or otherwise, who is this person who is on this money? there is none...
The question you have to ask yourself is why are the conservatives trying to turn everyone against benefit claimants?...
So the workfare scheme is more socially acceptable... how will those workers in morrybobs feel when they are replaced by a conveyor belt of jobseeker claimants every three weeks all chasing their tails trying to get out of the benefit trap?
Not a clue some people, you keep reading the sun, keep digesting the lies and the spin they feed you, gobble it up and spew it out on here.....

Because New Labour left them to get bigger.

Also I read the Guardian

that the Guardian does not want.

But the Labour years and Union Control
had to go.

Even Warmonger Blair agreed on that

Even if, and I stress if, that were true, how can it just and fair to punish those people by removing entitlements they were told were right to claim.

I can understand not giving new entitlements,I can understand limiting rises in benefits but I will never accept in any decent society that it is right to remove in an instant funds that are badly needed by the most vulnerable in the UK,

Whether the welfare problem is the fault of Labour or the Conservatives, (for me though it would have to be both party's who have never in the last 30 years between them done anything to ensure those in most need were fully protected now and in the future),it still cannot be right to be wheeling such extra hardship to people, who have only claimed what they were told was their right to claim, by these measures now.

It is cruel and if Osborne can stand there with signs saying for hardworking people and to then maybe be looking at possibly freezing or cutting the minimum wage shows the political liar and hypocrite he really is and it seems he is among a good few others like that in this sick excuse for a Govt too.

Osborne, the man who every year since 2010 has got near all his forecasts wrong and has had to downgrade them every year since in every statement he has made.
What a total waste of space to be looking after the UK economy,

I rarely watch Channel 4, but then what did the Conservatives say in the the past about people in Unions being asked about decisions in public and that all should be done by secret ballot.

Even in Uni arista, I have been with a group of people who have had something put to them with few raising their hands or even saying anything at all.

Afterwards away from that situation they have disagreed with plenty and said a great deal more as to it too.
I would have liked to hear these workers after this hypocrite had gone, more than what they did while he was lecturing them.

Probably known Conservative supporters then, specially invited to listen to him.

Funny, I can find a lot of people who believe the benefits need to be simplified and looked at again but I find very few that think this Govt is doing it fairly and with understanding of the real problems people face.

Kent is a beautiful place but also is usually strong Conservative heartland however, so I wouldn't put too much strength as to that being the view nationwide arista.

I wonder if they could find that many Conservative supporters in one place who'd want to turn out to listen to George, the man with the successful personality bypass.

The Conservative Party refuse to say how many members they have. Do you know why that is? Because they have alienated so many people that they have hardly any members left. That's bad for a party who rely solely on supporters and donations, unlike Labour who currently get Union support. It seems to me that since they formed the Coalition, the Tories have only ever opened their mouths to change feet. They've lurched from one dilemma to another and followed ludicrously unpopular decision with another ludicrously unpopular decision, so much so that even their dyed-in-the-wool faithful are deserting them in droves. And when you think things couldn't get any worse for them, someone at HQ calls the people raising the money and doing the actual supporting, swivel-eyed loons. It's like they have a death-wish. They're out at the next election, and sadly, I can't see anyone better waiting in the wings.

I watched all the news tonight, of all those people who were listening to him, they were then asked if anyone wanted to stay and ask him questions, only 4 did, apparantly 3 asking a question as to Europe.
It really sounds a success.

Sorry but this has nothing to do with parties, which are an irrelevance.

FACT: our wage rates are too high to be internationally competitive.

National minimum wage has contributed to unemployment, without a doubt. Ultimately it needs to scrapped altogether, otherwise we risk losing our entire manufacturing base and we will become a nation of benefit claimants but with very little tax revenue to pay the benefits.

The future is very worrying.

All the parties know this. None of them are brave enough to say NMW should be scrapped. So they talk about freezing or cutting it. I guess it is a start though.
