If he is unhappy at Real Madrid still and is stalling on a contract then perhaps he will just see it out, although a part of me thinks if Ronaldo's agents are using this interest to get RM to get Ronaldo on side and to get him agree to a new deal.

I hope Ronaldo comes back to United before he retires, it is clear he was at his most happiest with us, was well liked at the club and has lots of friends around still and Nike would be willing to finance the deal if we were interested because of both United and Ronaldo being sponsors of Nike.

He will be in a Real Madrid next season though,

Would expect Real to get him to sign a new contract rather soon. No way will they want to lose him on a free. Bringing in Bale would sooth the hysteria around Ronaldo going somewhat.
