I don't really see a problem for the reasons already given already but if not you could ditch the minus element and then eliminate the person(s) with the fewest votes every 24 hours or something?

Ooooh this is a good idea, it could be two plus votes and if the contestants don't reach a certain threshold of points after a set period of time then they are eliminated

Oh, I know you'd never cheat! I'm not saying that, It's more of like a compliment how so many people all vote for ML, and no one applies for forum games, meaning that it's popular & I don't get how it got to having such a big status on the forum compared to all the other games

I think it's probably 'cause it's inclusive and, despite there always being squabbles it is all about positivity and I think it's nice seeing what everyone has to say about the people they like on the forum, it's nice seeing your comments be used and it's nice seeing what people have to say about you... and I think it encourages people to get to know each other a little bit better. I dunno, I think it's because it's a bit of an 'event'.
