However, good prevailed and Shilpa was crowned the winner with 63% of the final vote. No housemates from this series appeared in Ultimate Big Brother Two housemates have since died from this series, Jade died in her sleep on 22 March 2009 aged 27 and Ken Russell died on 27 November 2011 at the age of 84.

The pioneer series won by Craig Phillips by a slim margin of 2% between ex-nun Anna Nolan. Nasty Nick went on to appear on Ultimate Big Brother finishing 5th Place.
