Cover album definitely, but I would like to hear original songs by her.

I hope you're right Vanessa, it's just TXF has had a past history of ruining alternative acts chances to go far in the Music industry because of how they had them perform on the show itself, and Moondance might be a performance the public will never forget.

And Rough Copy will flop hard if they released Music because the JLS fans will laugh them off for trying to be like them for starters, then the fact that the teen girls have their One Direction's and The Wanted's of this world.

Moondance had quite a positive reaction. Oddly enough, it was last week that it was negative. But his singing was good. Weird!

I liked last week as well, I think he was only in there because he had been stuck on early three weeks in a row which no one can survive unless you have a whole country on your side, or been stuck on last about three times before being stuck on early for a few weeks.

I'm so pissed off about that! He better not be on early this week.

I'll be fuming if anyone was stupid enough to compare Rough Copy to JLS. Anything JLS has done Rough Copy can do better (sing, dance, stage presence). Also I think Rough Copy will be doing more R&B music whereas JLS did pure pop so there's no possible way they can be compared other than their links to X Factor or of course their skin colour.

I don't see a long future chartwise for Sam Bailey, she has a really good, strong voice but in the main she will really likely sell her debut album then fade and I feel fade likely very quickly too.

I would expect Sam B's debut album to be songs that were classed her best on the X Factor, I have no problem with covers on albums,I like to compare other versions of songs but for me, Sam B does nothing with the songs, she just sings them as they were originally done.

I also though, don't even see her winning X Factor anyway, the acts are going to be getting less and less over the next 2 weeks and I simply cannot see at all, (of all the acts still left with her), where the people voting for those acts once they are gone will then vote for Sam Bailey.

I don't know. If Susan Boyle can do it, so can Sam and she has a much better voice.

Susan Boyle though has a likely totally different audience Vanessa.
She came from BGT and I know lots of people who watch that but not X Factor.

Susan Boyle was just there at the right time and didn't have to compete week after week.
She has an older audience and I don't mean that offensively to her, but she has somehow struck a chord with enough of that audience to secure regular chart success BY them buying her albums, much as Daniel O'Donnell has.

X Factor is supposed to be looking at presenting one of the next big International hit making machines and I don't see Sam Bailey as that I'm afraid.
If she does win it,she will have the investment from the deal initially, once she fails to make the top 10 with anything, then she will be dropped.

If she doesn't win then I can even doubt, outside of her debut album, that she will even likely get started really.
She'll make a good living for a time out of it but I just cannot see massive things for her myself.

I think it depends. If she makes a good fist album it will be a good start.

BGT is indeed a different beast to XF.

Susan Boyle wouldn't work on XF and would have left in week 6, but Bgt is a quick turn around.

That's true. I still hope she makes it. I like Sam Baily. I would buy her album if it was a good one.

Also SuBo had her much watched audition, backstory and mental health issues. Sam B is just a competent singing mother of 2. The media goes on and on about being a prison officer as there is nothing else to write about her.

Trust me TXF will market Rough Copy as a JLS replacement, and as we all know the most racist people on TV is the producers of these shows.

I think Rough Copy could be the new JLS. There's potential there.

Exactly. Never forget when JLS were contestants in 2008 series the name captions on Xtra Factor always got the members mixed up. I think Aston was named as Oritse and JB as Melvin .

Also there is always a 'disquiet' a sense of why are you singing this when a black act singers a song that's either not urban (e.g RnB/ soul/ hip hop). So people like Caroline Flack always asks RC 'when will you do an urban song?' even if the theme doesn't fit, whereas a white act who can do urban stuff will also be able to do non-urban stuff and noone bats an eye lid

What a load of rubbish all this 'is Sam B marketable' garbage is. She may not sell pop songs - but who the hell cares. There are many other types of music where Sam Bailey's remarkable voice would sell. Pop songs are for teenagers and the music industry is much bigger than teenagers.
