Most pop groups don't last longer than about 4-6 years (i.e. their young fans becoming adults) so I'd say they've got at least another year in them before they call it a day at the very least; theoretically they could last longer than the average group because of the heights they've reached but if there are egos in the band then it won't work. You can only keep people in contracts that they've signed; it's always been clear to me that Liam and Harry want to be solo artists; Zayn's the one that the girls go wildest for and the other two won't have careers to speak of once one of the other three decides they want out.

Yeah exactly. It's not like Girls Aloud where three of them are very obviously best mates and the other two aren't part of the gang.
