I enjoyed last years too. This year hasn't grabbed me as much.

Even with the "showmances" last year, the Hazel/Daley one didn't last long and gave us a couple of decent highlights shows when he went crazy and the Dexter/Callum/Charlie thing wasn't even love/romance or anything. It was Callum being crazy and Dexter trying to convince everyone he liked Charlie when it was clear he didn't because his whole persona was an act. The Dexter/Callum rivalry did get tedious eventually but at least it was different to the Chanelle/Ziggy type crap we normally got.

This year feels much more contrived and the editing of the highlights is leaving a lot to be desired.

Starting with an all female screeching house didn't set it off to a good start.
Then the men they did put in were sh*te housemates.
Then the second half when the house went quiet so they shoved a halfway house into the mix leading to one of the most tedious second halves of a series ever.

If ever there was an argument against 13 week series and launch night twists for the sake of it, then BB8 is it.

I didnt think bb14 was top tier to be honest but compared to this it was amazing, a lot more effortless to watch I find this series a tad bit offish or something I cannot fully get into it because I don't really like or hate anyone that much. And I need my strong females and there aint any.

This year we are trying to like it. some are fooling them selves but i tell you it iwll be a forgotton series when it ends. there just isnt those characters in this one. its sideline characters playing big parts. last year was big characters playing big parts.

i cant see this bb getting great or anywhere near as good as the last one. i really cant. you either have the characters or you dont. i dont think they do

I totally agree with the trying to make yourself like it part, and the characters last year surely had some of those and charlie travers most underrated housemate ever. And the sideline thing, you cant be entertained by sideline housemates no matter how much drama they cause.

This series is going OK. Although Bb14 was better. In fact BB14 was the best ever C5 series (in my opinion). BB14 has been the only C5 BB series that I have watched from start to finish and have been engaged with. This year isn't keeping me quite as hooked but it is going well. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all pans out!

Last year's fell flat after a week or two. And Dexter made most of the HLs about him, it was frustrating to watch.

This year, so far, has been a much better show.

I'm surprised so many people say how crap BB14 was. Last year this forum and others generally were 95% positive comments saying it's the best series in a long time. Interesting there seems to be a minority this year that say they liked BB14.

BB14 was apalling. Prob the worst BB series to date.

The characters were atrocious. The twists were played in such a way as to make them OBVIOUS to the rest of the house.

It has an awful winner.

BB15 is already miles ahead of the last 5 years and its only day 10.
