Its possible to express yourself without offending people and its equally possible to deliberately offend through the expression of your thoughts and feelings, so yes, freedom of expression is very important but should be partnered with intelligent use of language coupled with empathy and so on because if its always predictably offensive, it becomes unbalanced.

Hopkins was being provocative, she was deliberately trying to provoke a response from Perez in the same way that she tries to provoke a response from her readers when she writes her blogs. She's very predictable and clearly not as bright as she would like us all to believe.

I agree...but how is Perez any different. They make a great couple. They goad and prod and get personal in order to offend. They both have made money from freedom of speech at others misfortunes.

Perez has the same mentality as Hopkins. He's deliberately goads Hopkins because he's guaranteed a reaction and she can't resist taking the bait because she doesn't have the same resistance skills the rest of the house have.

I find it quite entertaining watching this cat and mouse game. Sometimes Parez is the mouse and sometimes Hopkins is the mouse. All I can say is, they are both as bad as each other.

The problem with Katie Hopkins is that whenever she displays her negative traits to the Housemates or to the public, is that she lacks any sort of charm or wit to pull it off, it just comes across as nasty and that's all she is.

Actually I find her wit quite amusing sometimes. Her personal insults are childlike but she does have a natural sharpness about her and that roll of the tongue does makes me smile from time to time. If she could learn to temper that wit with a little decorum and share her more general wit with polite society, she could find herself a whole new television career instead of the very specific audience she presently has. She just needs a good agent.

I'll add to that; Parez has a manic personality which would drive most rational people bonkers after a while. He only has two buttons...ego hyper driven manic or tearful, sulky self pitying.
