What signs? The only possible sign he is gay if he actually says "I'm gay". You can write me as long a list of names of people who have at first been scared to come out and then done so as you want, it doesn't change the fact that it is none of yours or anyone else's business other than that persons what their sexuality is, and it is even ruder to speculate based upon what is largely an extension of this age old belief that being camp or acting effeminately is rooted in sexuality, when it isn't. Should we just skirt around the issue if it's brought up and just refer to someone as camp ? I think that's far more offensive than just openly talking about it. like grown-ups in the 2010's.

Yes we should, being called camp isn't offensive, it's an objective fact. Being camp is a set of behavioural characteristics, but they don't have any impact on determining someone's sexuality.
