I'm also wondering if it was the parents that have somehow gotten him into trouble.

in the article it states that the father and the son were barred from travelling, not the mother. The story is focussing on the child where it could easily be the father that triggered the alert.

If it were the father though surely they would have allowed the child to travel with the mother? I don't think they will release why this has happened....it will just be a matter of national security I would think?

That pic doesn't ring true for me, yes it's a daft gut instinct but that kids eyes are not smiling.

If there is nothing more to this story than printed then Homeland Security are not doing their job properly and should be focusing on real potential 'threats'.However it is very strange,I wonder if there's a key piece of the story missing?Maybe the dad got caught with a joint last time he was in Vegas or something?Maybe they think he could have used his kid as a mule or something?I don't think we have enough info.

I'm laughing because that's exactly what the article makes it sound like happened.
They were banned from flying to the US because some man declared he didn't like the look of an 8 year old despite them getting through all the other security checks just fine.

I just hope the idiots that banned the poor kid and his parents realise how much they humiliated them by turning them away in front of all those other passengers who managed to board it, if that happened to me, I would feel insulted.
I just hope that this kid gets a happy ending, every child deserves the right to go on holiday, this is just pure discrimination and it just makes me sick in the stomach that an innocent underage child can be banned from leaving the country but millions of illegal immigrants can be allowed to enter this country, should be the other way round! |
