Never eat Bernard Matthews produce, but do like his turkey drumsticks. They're boooooootiful! Never eat turkey, but it won't put me off other meat. The thing is, that white meat, like chicken (drool), needs to be cooked properly. It's different with red meats, like beef (slurp), as I like mine medium rare. I always make sure chicken is cooked properly by making sure that when I stab it with a fork, that no blood comes out, and only clear liquid (as my mother taught me)! Cookery lesson over for today! If you are unsure, my advice is to overcook it, rather than undercook it. I do the same with eggs, just slightly overcook them, but I do love a runny yoke (yum yum). I am now salivating and need to go and get something to eat!

Bernard Matthews stuff is overpriced

Like James I tend to cook stuff myself, being something of a scratch cook

If I have cooked meats for sandwiches I either get it from the co-op or a certain stall on Grainger Market in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Sometimes I have even cooked the meat myself, but I have already said that.

On the bird flu front, it is worth noting that the great flu epedemic of 1918 which killed more people than World War One, was a form of Bird Flu, and I did here that they kept samples to this day of that virus.
