Feminism is associated with hating men by a lot of the general public because a lot of women that pretend that they're "feminists" hijack it just to man hate.

Radical feminists are one facet of feminism and don't represent the entire movement, it's annoying that the term has been soured because of this misrepresentation

The real issue here is whether the poster agrees with such a sentiment themselves or acknowledges that that's unfortunately what people have come to believe

Oh I know it's not the whole group that man hates, it's just that the Media has given people that image by showing more of the man haters than the real Feminists imo.

It's why I think Vesavius thinks it's toxic to brand Jayne as a Feminist, which whilst I agree with you that people should realise that not every Feminist is a man hating bitch, sadly Vesavius is right that it will kill Jayne's already limited vote base off if she was being given a tag such as the Feminist Icon.
