It can't be the number of series' as this is the 11th so it's not going to be a important number.

If that was the case they would've made CBB18 an All Stars series as it's been 5 years since C5 took over the show and CBB8 launched in summer 2011.

I definetly think it's why this CBB has been brought forward and it's only gonna last 4 weeks so they've gave them selves like an extra 5/6 weeks to get contacting the people they want to take time as I'm sure it will be harder to recruit an all star series.

And tbh UK vs USA just happened on a random series and not a 'special series' and American TV shows like BBUSA and Survivor just do All Stars randomly. They put old housemates in last year too and BB16 CERTAINLY wasn't a special series. I hope it happens.

True but I honestly can't remember a UK tv show where they did an All Stars season and it wasn't the final series.

Like IAC have an amazing pool of ex celebs to do an All Stars with but they've never done it and probably never will until the final send off. Just like how Ultimate BB/Dancing On Ice All Stars was in their final series.

You're definitely right but let's not forget that BB16 almost completely relied on former housemates for 3 straight weeks. So anything is possible.

I think BB/CBB like to Americanise themselves a bit more than other UK shows anyway. Maybe excluding X Factor but that's about it.

They should celebrate 20 years of the BB format when we get too it anyway, even if it isn't on by then (I reckon it will be though, both BB and CBB are on a high).

It's 5 years this month (August) since BB launched on Channel 5 so technically an all stars in January to celebrate that works well

There's 214 housemates and IMO there's never been a bad series so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm sure us and c5 can at least agree on who stood out in each series so theymll be the obvious choices to put in the house.

And how many housemates do you all want anyway? If it's celebrity all stars, I'd actually be fine with something ridiculous like 20+ housemates as long as they're good.
