Nice thought.
They have to solve the crowd issues, which was embarrassing during BB18.

first of all, loving the christine sydelko gif.

second, i agree. a proper change to how the house used to be would be nice. they could tbh incorporate similar rooms they've done in the past, like a house jumbled up rooms from the past?

Oh I'd LOVE this, I originally wanted them to do it for UBB but obviously there was no time

If they know it's going to be the last series, trying to recreate some of the room designs from over the last 18 years would be amazing

Once someone else runs up the stairs and out the doors after an evictee, then they can close off the stairs

there’s two exit doors/layers right now isn’t there? If they only opened one set of doors and had a little bit where it has lighting and cameras to isolate the housemate and then evicted them that would even be better than what they have now idk

a concept: closed off stairs, but there's no doors.

For the next 7 weeks, sixteen housemates must learn to adapt and survive in a cramped area, consisting of two small levels joined by a set of stairs

I would love it if they completely change up the house design and then use the entrance in the other house which is closed off

I'd like this too. That extension has to be one of the most expensive and biggest wastes of time certainly on BBUK, if not any reality show. They billed it as a second house, and like all their other themes and twists, it was over within a week

All it's been used for since is tasks that could easily be done in the main garden, and the odd Bedsit Part 3242305

Let's have a proper overhaul of the layout, the entrance can utilise those closed off stairs, and then they can rejig ALL of that empty space in the extension around so that it's one massive house

Yeh, plus the doors to the other house are so much more dramatic!

I’d also then like them to change the outdoor stage, make it one straight walkway to the circle in the middle, then a further straight walkway to the revolving stairs up to the entrance. Wouldn’t be hard to do. Then there could be a full audience in the back, against the house (where the current entrance is) - would look a lot better on TV than the weird right turn, left turn, up stairs, right turn, walk around thing they have now

First, they need actual audience members to fill that space.

I’m sure they could still keep the same capacity with this layout. Here’s a quick example of what I mean

i was just thinking of how the closed off corridors always used to have a theme/decoration to the series
maybe an LED one would be cool like this could work for stairs or a ground floor one where it’s a kind of tunnel, in an ideal world there wouldn’t be tacky graphics as usual being screened on them but like pulsing colours/patterns when hms are entering/exiting

That is cool and so on theme. Always though the eye would have worked much better as the main house entrance than the entrance to the studio - and a tunnel like that leading up to it would be amazing.

I actually enjoyed the eye as the entrance to the studio... It was the center piece of the main set...

That tunnel looks cool but I honestly think we are stuck with the stairs open to the house... Closing them off to the rest of the house I think eats up too much usable space as they've had multiple rooms in that area over the last few series... It's another one of those pointless things people on here like to whine and complain about that really has little to no affect on the show...

The real issue is the panto that goes on while Emma talks to the house... It was much nicer the few times she was in the studio and appeared on the plasma screen...

The plasma screen in the studio gave me BB9/BB10 vibes...

Was definately one of the biggest mistakes BBUK ever made when they stopped doing the eviction links (and actually the build up) from the studio. It just meant rather than talking to the viewers, and crucially to the housemates, Davina (and the inferiors that followed) was primarily there to talk to the crowd. Rewatching BB3 at the moment and it was all just so much more natural.

Bringing it back to the stairs and of course they had basically the same as the C5 set up - stairs straight up to the exit, open to the house. The crowd were spread out further though, starting at the foot of the exterior stairs and then just on the one side all the way to the house and back then it was a bit of a novelty the housemates hearing the reaction, although in BB1 & BB2 the HMs could go into the garden to here the crowd reaction too.

I'd love it if they'd bring the house back to a more open concept like it was in BB3... It's hard to believe that's even the same house!

Absolutely, plus the garden was about three times the size it is now - they've basically built out on to it on three sides over the years.
