Mocked Hitler and said ‘kill the jews’

I wonder how his fans will defend him now.
It was just an impression based on a slip of the tongue its not as if he was preaching "death to all Jews" if anything he was mocking himself for his slip of the tongue.

Remember when Michael Barrymore did pretty much the same thing back in CBB5 and BB didn't bat an eye lid?

Yes he should have got a warning just to show that people may have been offended but not removed from the house I mean its not as if he is anti semitic .

Eject him for what?
Just don't show the ****ing incident you dumb *****, and get on with the show.
No real reason to eject other than to get publicity.
I understand why they eject on CBB, because they can get some money back.
And i understand if the comments are actually broadcast and they need to take action.
But for gods sake, if its just a random comment within 1000 hours of his life, give him a slap on the wrist at most.

Note ive watched about 20 mins of this series in week one, so no bias in my comment.

Even if he did say Auchwitz instead of outfits, he could just say he got mushmouth - I don't think it's easy to get the two words mixed up, but mumbling and slurring could turn outfits into, say, "ouchfitz", and Auchwitz is the closest actual thing to that?

If BB continues Housemates would be advised to not mention the war.

Lewis has confirmed on his instagram story now that he said auschwitz instead of outfits when talking to cameron and then mocked himself for his mistake by imitating Hitler in what he said was a slip of the tongue and said he isn't anti-semitic and was a slip of the tongue mocking the moment

I personally don't think it's a reason to be removed

He also said on his live story that he didn't air half of the things he said and said he'd discussed his suicide attempts and other important matters in his life that they didn't air

yet ANNE WIDDECOMBE was kept in the house for constantly spouting transphobic dragphobic and homophobic remarks and body language and was runner up for her belief in freedom of speech

Reminds me of the poor guy up in Scotland who had 2 years of his life put on hold for making a video featuring himself training his girlfriend's Pug dog to do a Heil Hitler salute when he said "Gas the Jews". He made it clear he was joking and trying to turn what his girlfriend regarded as the cutest dog in the world into the most monstrous thing imaginable.

These stories are just beyond parody at this point. The country has clearly lost its marbles.

...it was only his place in the house he lost as opposed to if it had been a celebrity BB and a career may have been lost as well...

....it’s the irony of Lewis that has so often been the thing...he seems to feel superior to many levels of conversation and yet his level of conversation is the only eject-able one in its careless, offensive content...

A very bad joke/ impression in terrible taste.
A warning and apology should have done the trick.
If it was said maliciously however, then fair enough, sling him out on his ear.

The Sun.
Does anyone really believe what that rag prints.

Anyway as someone who likes Lewis as a housemate, I will neither condemn or defend until he reveals what the incident was.
Or were BB ever to reveal what the incident was.

If the Sun has for the first time printed truth, which will astound me.
Then just show it and the context of how it came about.

Have this speculation halted with only the facts, once and for all.
Only BB and channel 5 can do that with Lewis himself.

Considering he's directly quoted several times in the article, I imagine Lewis does

Well at least this makes some modicum of sense, but I still don't think it warrants an ejection. Context matters

And really, if they weren't going to show it, why didn't they just brush it under the carpet?

Makes sense. C5 / Endemol wouldn't want their final series shrouded in controversy over a winner who said anti-semetic comments, even if it was a joke.

Well it's understandable why it wasn't shown, given the news from the USA.

A formal warning may have been the correct punishment and BB evidently intended to do that but C5 interfered and they are not friends of the show.

Speaking from his home, Lewis said: “I was talking to Cameron about getting him some outfits and I said the word ‘Auschwitz’ instead of outfits by mistake.

“It was a slip of the tongue and and then I tried to mock Hitler and did an impression of him saying ‘Kill the Jews’.

“It was an impression not a statement of my beliefs at all – and has come out completely wrong and I’m devastated.

I am not anti-Semitic, I am agnostic. I love all people.

“It was a misguided comment that came out wrong.”
as if the two were mutually exclusive
another proof that when it comes to matters "spiritual" he doesn't know his arse from his elbow

I would totally disagree with you re the spiritual angle TS. He is spiritual, he reads the right books to enable him to understand more. In the understanding though comes the doubt and self annihilation trying hard to do the right thing. There is much in this world which isnt understood because many stay on one level of thought and dont want to discover.

Trying to discover is hard when one comes down to the level of materialism, we cant go through life being goody goody which, and, no disrespect, I believe that Kay is trying to do, bless her but she will learn.

Discovery is being able to be with all levels of understanding, this is what he is striving for whether one believes it or not. If he makes it well done, if he doesnt maybe the time isnt right. It certainly doesnt make him a bad person, everyone should have the benefit of the doubt because we are all searching whether we realise it or not.
