The article itself in the OP says he stepped down because it's filming on location and he has to be at home with family after the accusations.

I'm not saying it's impossible but I'm not jumping on any bandwagons until someone actually shows how this is "verified" rather than just saying "OMG it iz verified trust meh".

...I respect his decision and reasoning...(...obviously if it’s true...)...but it’s also reasonable to say that it wouldn’t be fair for him to go off on location and leave his family vulnerable with what this is throwing out on the Internet atm...

I think an ex has mentioned PTSD and trauma from their relationship that left her "financially, mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted" but her comments haven't explicitly related to rape or cannibalism that I can see.

I mean I agree-ish, fantasy is fantasy HOWEVER it depends on if she told him to cut it out or clearly didn't like it and he carried on with it. If she was playing along and then has later decided to declare it "scary", that's a bit more questionable.
