That's one of the alt-right-truther echo chambre platforms I was alluding to, where the people who are into it try to pretend it's meaningful to say that the likes of Brand can simply "move there" (and, presumably, spend their days preaching to the choir ).

For the actual wider public there's the various "Meta" offerings which aren't and never have really been the same thing.

Twitter is absolutely huge as a marketing tool for anyone in the public eye. I don't see it dying if there's no mainstream alternative. If they make the $2 a month easy to pay, like one click and done, i think it will survive. I never use it, but i must read 10 tweets a day on here alone. It's much bigger than facebook now, right?
