That's the problem when you're in the public eye: discussions become increasingly personal. Quite a few people would not want the entire nation to know such details, yet this fact about Rhydian has become exposed. I hope he manages to stick to it if he wishes and not fall prey to the media, which can change your intentions - it's happened to celebrities in the past, and there's no reason why it can't happen again.
