If you think that this was the worst street "riot" then you're gravely mistaken.

I could give examples but I imagine you'd pass them off as irrelevant.
I know there have been worse riots and that one was mild in comparison, I'm merely stating nothing like that has happened around here on that scale for a long while in that particular area.

And I wouldn't pass them off as irrelevant if they weren't set in a football stadium affecting directly only those involved in the football match or a viewing of it.

But your view, where I'm not refuting it, seems to be "we are the victims and the media have it all wrong". They are biased, but there has to be some truth in it to get a story especially with video and anecdotal evidence.

Pretty sure I've said a number of times that there were a few "fans" who caused some trouble, and brought shame on the club.
What I said was unfortunate, was that the majority of people hear about this small number and apply it to the whole club.

I've also said the same thing but it gets conveniently ignored.

Its just generalisation. It happens everywhere for everything and happens in all areas of life. Nothing can change that and people will always be tarred with the same brush.

When did I ignore it? I made a comment about it.

I said it in my first post in here about generalisation but you still went on to say how it wasn't all. I'm sure I said it at some other point as well and you are probably right on commenting on it.

Shall we agree to disagree?

(PS, the first post I made in response to yours was mainly a "the majority think this" rather than you in particular, thats why I didn't take into account the generalisation comment there, but did later).

To be fair, I don't think we should have to because we both had completely different experiences ie you actually went to the fanzone and then waited around all night to go home and never got to see the match; clearly annoyed then annoyed with todays generalisation whereas I just went out and seen what I did and generalised whilst clearly annoyed and you are right to be annoyed about both things.

Obviously you are on the defensive and defending the Rangers fans because of a few idiots, but other people are attacking them because its out of the ordinary for it to happen so to speak (loosely used there) which is all fair enough I suppose. Essentially we are both on about 2 clearly different events.

Anyway sorry you had a crap night, sorry they lost and all that. But the police are power crazy and out of order and IMO in situations like this are worse than those they are trying to put back in line.

Surprisingly most was all cleaned really quick

This morning the news had a reporter stood on the field in the fan zone where you was (yes there was grass, you probably didn't see it though ) and it was spotless ... well the grass was anyway, not quite the bit where the shelter is as you go onto the tram lines

LOL yeah, I go to Manchester a lot and love that bit of gardens in the centre - it looked so different though cos they had it all barrier'd and plastic sheets down on the ground! Haha.
