I dunno, i just hope it improves.

I think they are good viewing figures i was expecting that after the previous series and people need to warm to it and get interested from word and mouth so these housemates need to show them self’s to their best and i hate to say it but maybe a new couple need to form because does extract viewers and extra publicity! as you said it will most probably increase later on in the seres and i think the big wedding this sunday will extract quite a few with the sunday night project straight after!

Also don’t forget it peaked to 5.9 so in my opinion that is pritty good and i think it was too long for many viewers and people didn’t want to watch it all! also many people watched heros first and then reverted over!

Overall i think this is a great start to what looks to be a great series is and has achieved better than in viewing figures than i expected so sounds promising i think people before hand were a bit niyeve (sorry i acnt spell) about the estimate of viewing figures the program would achieve considering the disastrous previous series!!!!!

I'm pleasently suprised with the viewing figures to be honest. After the trainwreck that was BB8 the figures are relatively impressive.

Even if ratinsg wise it does worse, we could always say that we enjoyed it and it was better than BB8. It looks like a promising series.

Like Ive said before, ratings shouldnt matter. WE as audience shouldnt even pay attention to them.

Theyre for production teams only. I am going to ejoy the series just like I enjoyed BB8 and Hijack no matter what the ratings are.

They were a little bit lower than I expected but it's still pretty decent.

thats good coz DEVINA did a run through of all the HM's and revealed the twist so the .6million who didnt watch might watch tonight.also dont forget everyones talking about how good it was wich might result in the repeats on E4 & C4 getting high viewers

I expected this amount amount of viewers considering how unpopular the show was last year its a good figure to launch the series off.

Good news that it peaked at 6million. I think it will be like BB5 and its ratings will increase over the series.

It was the most watched program apart from the soaps last night and won its slot.
The ratings are down but BB is still up there.

BB3 started off with similar ratings and ended on 10 million, lets hope the same happens for BB9

I remember someone on TV saying last year that the ratings are going down, yet Big Brother is still one of the top shows on not only Channel 4, but Terrestrial TV al together.

Thats what I said. They matter for production teams. Not for us. Not this series anyway.

Why can we not just sit and watch a good series of BB without worrying so much about who else is watching it

Wow, how fantastic would that be? *fingers crossed*

I still think it's pretty popular, though, so I'm not gonna worry about the ratings too much - I walked into school today, and Big Brother was all everybody was talking about.
