ANYWAY, I don't think the population is too big yet, but if it reaches that point, families should be encouraged to have only two kids, though it shouldn't be a law.

I dont have a problem with families that have more than 2 children unless they dont lounge on the state and have more kids to get more money.

I myself have 4 kids living at home, 2 from my partner pervious relationship, one from mine and we also have a baby together. I was raise also in with 4 kids.

Birth rate doesn't cause the population to rise, natural increase does. Natural increase is birth rate - death rate. Besides, you don't actually believe the government figures on immigration, do you?

Death rate: 10.05 deaths/1,000 population (2008 est.)
Natural increase: 0.60/1,000 population

Also, it's from the Daily Mail, which instantly sets me on guard. Frankly if people can't afford to have children or don't have the means to look after them, then they shouldn't have them. Just my opinion.

Again - in the UK, the elderly outnumber the young. People are having less children than years ago. People are living longer. What do you suggest we do - control the population by killing off the elderly?!

But it doesn't need controlling. It is possible, we could drop a bomb on Africa. That wouldn't be ethical though, neither is telling people how many babies they should have.

Yes, it may be possible, but it's un-necessary. I'll say it again - the elderly are outnumbering the young at the moment. People are having less children (in the UK) than in years gone by. The population does not need controlling.

And I gave facts that proved I was right, you obviously aren't educated on the subject of demographics. What I said was fact, nothing to do with my opinion on immigration. A certain amount of immigration is vital to stop the population ageing too much. Nurse told us the birth rate, which is meaningless on its own. Countries like Germany and Italy would actually have declining populations if it wasn't for immigration.

I do have skepticism about climate change, but only about its extent and consequences, I'm not saying there's no climate change at all.

Edit: Here's more evidence. Net migration has been the primary cause of population increase for the last 10 years, and that's just the migration we know about.
