Spike - I would suggest that next time you go for a job interview, tell the interviewer that you really really deserve the job because you tell lots of lies. See how far that gets you.

If McCain was the right man for the job, maybe he wouldn't need to tell so many lies.

Well Lee kinda did that on The Apprentice and he got the job so I might give it ago
McCain isn't getting the job from an interviewer he is getting it from the American people and if telling lies is the best way about getting it then so be it, his lies have done him well so far

OMG!!!! I cannot believe you are serious about this!

Has it not occurred to you that if he was the right man for the job, he wouldn't need to lie?

John McCain - is the man who publicly made a joke about women being raped.

John McCain - is the man who joked that Muslims should be given cigarettes so that they would get cancer.

John McCain - is the man who openly chanted 'Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran', and when people protested, he told them to 'get a life'.

John McCain - is behind Obama in the polls, and Sarah Palin's popularity has dropped massively (yeah, she was fine when she was looking pretty and spouting someone else's words, but once she has to think on her own, people realised that she actually was pretty crap).

Would you be happy to have a proven liar running your country? If so, I think you have missed a fundamental point about what politics is about. And if you condone his telling lies to win the presidency, it shows a definite lack of morals/responsibility.

And are you seriously comparing John McCain to Lee McQueen? You are absolutely hilarious!!!! I didn't think you could top your last post for ridiculousness, but congratulations, you have done it!!

Being as your sole argument for McCain making a good president seems to be that he tells a lot of lies, I really don't think I can be bothered discussing this with you any more. I love to listen to people who think differently to me - that's how you learn, after all - but not when they spout the nonsense you've been coming out with.

So....I'll see you around (maybe).

they are jokes so why bring that into it, I joke about alot of thing that doesn't mean I mean it and as for the bomb Iran I agree with that.
I would rather have a proven liar running my country rather that someone who has lied but we don't know what about yet. All politicians lie but in this case John McCain has been found out, so i'm not really bothered about the lies because if the truth is known then probably McCain and Obama have told alot more lies than we know of.
You was the one who compare McCain lieing to a job interview so I gave an example of it therefore you made the ridiculous post to begin with

The soccer mom vote is up for grabs, seeing as Hilary isn't in the running anymore, hence why Sarah Palin was brought to the forefront. Barack Obama should be mopping up the majority of those soccer mom votes though, I think he might just get into power - plus you have to consider a lot of low income African Americans will actually vote in this election, typically there's a poor turn out amongst the African American community in the USA for elections. Obama for president! Celebritician!

Well....if you think there's nothing wrong with making jokes about women being raped, or making jokes about giving Muslims cancer, then you can't have many morals of your own. Your attitude is just disgusting. Your attitude to Iran is also disgraceful, and I can't talk with someone who feels the way you do.

And you are saying you would rather have a proven liar as the most powerful man in the world, rather than a man who does not appear to have told any lies whatsoever, but you just happen not to like the second man. That just shows what a loose grip on reality you have. I don't like falling out with people, but I have never read such a disturbing, misguided, and frankly pathetic post on here as those you have posted. Your morals make me sick, and I don't want to talk to someone who has no idea of what they are talking about.

Sorry to the mods - you can do what you have to do, but Spike's posts are just so idiotic and pathetic.

He told jokes, all jokes are offensive in some way and by telling a joke he is of course going to upset a few people but not intentionally, get a sense of humour instead of trying to work all these things against McCain
Get over the whole lies things, i'm sure McCain and Obama have told as many lies as each other but they are running for president and they are doing everything they can. Atleast we know what McCain has told lies about unlike Obama who I just do not trust for all the power to be in his hands.

Im hoping Obama wins the elections, McCain is literally a Bush clone. We have seen the mess bush has made we dont need that carrying on. I havent been following it too well but I think Obama could bring a lot to the country, and change it for the better. From what I have seen from McCain he is everything I dislike in a candidate. When he was on Ellen, when asked about gay marriage he completely ignored it and moved on and he has made so many stupid slip ups about the iraq war.
With Obama it is all about change, about getting troops out of war, about promoting gay marriage as much as the different states will let him. If I was in America I would vote Obama, unless you want George Bush 2.

McCain will make big decisions for the best even if its against the majority, he isn't afraid to stand up and say what he believes in same goes for Palin
Now what does Obama believe in, not much he doesn't state his policies instead gives people false hope.
Atleas voting McCain we know what we will get and that will be a better America and a better world
Yes but America doesnt need a man who is going to stand up against the nation and make decisions HE thinks is best for them. The American citizens arent babies, they should be the people making the decisions and if the president ignores that then its no good. George bush did it all the time, people complained about the war but he did it anyway.
Atleast Barack Obama will listen to his people, take everything into consideration and discuss it with them.

Good grief - just when I think you have reached the utmost level of stupidity, you go and top it!

I have asked you numerous times, but you completely failed to answer:

HOW DO YOU KNOW that Obama is telling lies? Answer - you don't. You can't.

Try telling a victim of rape or cancer that his jokes are funny. I have a terrific sense of humour (at least I think I do)! but certain things are just not funny.

As for the whole lies thing - sorry I can't respond to your opinion on that, as you have no idea what you are talking about.

I'm not trying to work out all these things against McCain. I have simply done my research and come up with facts. If you could come up with ONE single reason why McCain would be better than Obama (by which I don't mean, you announcing that Obama is telling lies, with no evidence whatsoever), I would be prepared to listen to you. But seeing as your opinion is centred around the fact that a prolific liar is a better choice for president than an honest man, your opinion is worthless.

Your morals belong in the gutter! I suppose you think Bernard Manning and Jim Davidson are funny eh! There is point where jokes can cross the line into offensive remarks, and those I think most people with any shred of decency would agree, cross the line

Obama is a politician therefore he is a charlatan, a fake, an ambitious conman and a careerist.

Only sad, immature, little children trust politicians.

Some of the comments in this topic are a bit too heated and personal. Stick to opinions about the subject instead of commenting about other posters. We'll get nowhere otherwise...

I would hate to think that America elected another war monger for a president. McCain is a vile creature who has made some of the worst comments ever to come out of a politician. As for Palin, well she is very narrow minded and only in favour of things that fit in with her own narrow moral view of the world. I can think of nothing worse than if those 2 gain the power of such an influencial counrty.

So what if my morals aren't the same as yours, I don't really care
He told jokes, all jokes are offensive in some way and by telling a joke he is of course going to upset a few people but not intentionally, get a sense of humour instead of trying to work all these things against McCain
Get over the whole lies things, i'm sure McCain and Obama have told as many lies as each other but they are running for president and they are doing everything they can. Atleast we know what McCain has told lies about unlike Obama who I just do not trust for all the power to be in his hands.
Your morals belong in the gutter! I suppose you think Bernard Manning and Jim Davidson are funny eh! There is point where jokes can cross the line into offensive remarks, and those I think most people with any shred of decency would agree, cross the line
Who are you to tell me that my morals belong in the gutter. They are morals not yours, so concentrate on your own.
What McCain said were jokes of course people would take some offence but it was unintentional and the Obama supporters are just scraping the barrel to work the jokes against McCain.
