Betting!!. there is a group/ syndicate of gamblers that club together and fix it so they win £££' here is how it works...

there is a betting web site you join and the admin of the forum will say eg....(thousands of members) we will first bet £1 on vern to win this show this will make him favorite odds on, at the last minute we bet on the under dog> Ulrika, so all of you stick big £££ on her to win. there are over a thousand of us here we all ring 10x times each (cost £3.50 for 10 calls each) make it £10s worth of calls each then? out of the thousands members they can vote well over 100,000 votes + the general public votes will make sure she wins.

if i put £100 on ulrika to win i would get back £1,400 (14-1) take way the £10 of calls and the £1 iput on vern to win = £1,389 profit that is how its fixed.

Problems with this theory... they wouldn't know how many phone calls it would take to swing the vote as Channel 4 don't release the numbers - for all they know it could be millions of votes, and secondly there is no-way to prove other members of the syndicate are actually making the calls they say they are. Everyone could just leave it to everyone else.

it is members only pay to join site, if you dont all agree to do it then its not going to work, it works im a member of the site and yes we wanted ulrika to win and we all phoned in to vote for her to win and gess what? she did! we done it for rachael last summer mikey was a clear winner, but we could not have that now could we? so we phoned for the winner with best odds if you look at all the online polls you will see the winners are never the online favorites its our betting syndicate that determines who wins.

The polls here and elsewhere show that Ulrika was much disliked by many who obviously made their feelings clear on boards, in the press and elsewhere.
She also ranked high in the "favourite to win" polls which is why she gained a lot of votes. In other words she strongly divided opinion and there were few neutrals.
Nut ... only a nut would tell everyone about that marvellous scheme.

I like what nut is saying. The small number of phone voters for CBB makes his claim quite believable. Also, his point that the bookies faveorite never seems to win any more give his claims even more credibility

I've posted many times on this forum that I'm not bothered who wins these shows but I too think there was something fishy about Ulrikas victory. She even alluded to a fix as she was announced the winner.

I dout it was a fix! If people genuinely didn't want her to win they she wouldn't have - she got the votes so people obviously liked her. I personally wanted Koolio or Terry to win but just because Ulrika wasn't loud, caused arguments doesn't mean she couldn't be liked by the public.

Terry and Vern were favorites from day one right up until the last day the crowd whould BOO the **** out of Ulrika they are the voting public also there are a few 100 in that crowd wich should give you some idea of what the general public are thinking and along the lines of how the phone vote would sway it used to be like that for for years, but not anymore why??? CH4 are not fixing it or they would be found out and the show would be axed.
