Vert typical of New Labour's Mandy
telling the UK staff to go and get a job in Europe.

The Fire has now started.

lol @ "The Fire has now started." ... you seem to be trying your best.....

Which is higher?...the number of British pass port holders who have jobs overseas or the number of non-British passport holders within Great Britain?

New Labour aren't in the job of statistical gathering ... and the conservatives knew the value of bring in immigrants to boost economic activity. You seem kind of lost. ..another question then
Do immigrants created economic activity in a country ( ie create jobs by the fact that they are consumers) or do they take jobs?

Ang7.. The italian workers are living on a boat that already has what they need, their money will not be spent in the uk.. But they aint in great numbers.

Its not about we dont want them here but what has peeed people off is that many companies overlook the british workers..
The slowdown has made it worse because this is nothing new but at this time people are losing their jobs everyday and seeing oversea workers come over and be given jobs is making it worse... Its not that they are taking jobs, its that the companies are giving them jobs when the local people are out of work/being laid off when they can do the job just as good!..

But we cant just ban non-british workers, we also have many many british workers overseas.. But the government need to step in and make it a fair playing field..
This is a problem all over the world, not just the uk.

"Its not that they are taking jobs, its that the companies are giving them jobs when the local people are out of work/being laid off when they can do the job just as good!.."

but clearly they aren't otherwise that company would have hired them. It's in the best interest of the company to hire the best people they can for the cheapest price they can. You want the government to get in the face of business and tell them who to hire and fire. That sound like "big government" and you say you hate " big government" because it's a lefty ideal .... "high tax, big government, big safety net" ... as opposed to the conservatives " small government" less government intervention " let the market work it out". Are you now a member of the "loonry lefty" tha you keep telling us you hate hehe

nah don't know abot that... not if it takes the jobs of "workers". You seem to think more immigrants come during a labour government than a conservative one. How sure are you of this? Conservatives ( including new labour) love bringing in immigrants because it's such a boost to the economy... it has huge flow on effects. I read that up to 12 or 13 jobs are created for every 10 immigrants. The issue has always been the cultural and social disharmony caused by racists that need an excuse for why they are perpetual ......losers and dark skinned immigrants seemed to fit the bill.

Lol you playing the "racist card"?..

Oh no white british people must be "racist" if they want jobs in the UK!!

The Italian workers are here legaly through normal EU laws... But did the company overlook the british workers? If so then that is illegal.

The wildcat stikes are against the companies, not against the european workers. Plus many feel let down by the government, Gordon Brown did say "British jobs for British workers"... Read between the lines and he means that is the long term goal.

I think the current climate has made things worse due to many people being laid off work and seeing workers from overseas being given jobs will heat things up... Few years ago nobody would give a fk but the global downturn has changed that.

It is in our intrest to have workers from overseas here as we also have many british workers overseas... Its just a bitter pill the strikers will have to swallow but many feel let down.

But we ain't in the Euro.
The UK public would vote no to the Euro - which is why Brown does not give us a Vote.

We can trade with Europe
but we should get out of it
since all Euro laws work against us when it is Workers.

You will not Find a UK crew
in Europe like what Total are doing.
They would not allow it.

As Andyman points out
this is not a Level playing field with Corrupt Europe.

lol ... that sound like a terrible plan. Isolationism and protectionism aren't going to solve Britain's economic problems. That would be the quickest way to turn the UK into a basket case economy ... how will leaving the EU help? and what are these "mega mess" EU laws you talking about. ( argue your point mate ... this is getting boring, it's like blood out of a stone with you)

that sound like you inciting people to riot against non British to me.
then arista's

Look ... argue your points the best you can... if you run out of a logical arguments and you position becomes untenable then concede the point. If you keep arguing long after you've ran out of logical points then we'll know that something else is motivating your point of view besides logic ...
