The House was full of the gentle splatting of paint on canvas today, as the Housemates completed an artistic task. The group was separated into pairs and ordered to produce lifelike portraits of each other.

Each budding artist had just 30 minutes to complete the task. To ease the pressure, the artists and muses murmured words of encouragement to each other throughout.

"Tell me when you're doing the mouth," Makosi demanded of Derek as he started her portrait. "Er, I think I'll start on the eyebrows first," he responded, perhaps fearful that a portrait of Makosi could end up being all mouth.
"I'm so underestimating my drawing techniques," a modest Lesley told model Craig.

"I'm actually quite good," she continued, adding more blusher to Craig's flaming cheeks and decorating the background with what looked like some kind of nuclear explosion.

"What the ****** is that?" Craig questioned, clearly far from delighted with the result.

"I've ********d up!" was Derek excuse for his finished painting.

On the whole the results were varied, to say the least, but Big Brother will display the works of art nevertheless, and ask the housemates to explain their inspiration

With the art task completed, Big Brother has asked each of the Housemates to explain their portraits to each other. Some of the new friends took the opportunity to big each other up, big time.

The budding artists waited with baited breath to hear how Lesley would explain her abstract rendition of Craig, and why exactly Anthony had painted Maxwell red.

"This is Craig, I have tried to make him look like a gnome," Lesley explained. "This represents his big mouth," she said, pointing, strangely enough, to her portrait's big mouth.

Makosi and Derek were positively brimming over with compliments. She enthused about his strong personality and told him he puts himself across in a beautiful way. He described her as a walking work of art, with eyes that "look like they go on like an ocean forever and ever and ever."

I'm sorry I wasn't able to do you justice, next time I will try harder," Derek gushed.

"This is Maxwell, he requested wanting to look hard," Anthony explained, holding up a pink head flanked by two walls of fire. "He was singing Arsenal songs when I painted him," Anthony explained.

Mary explained that Kamal has "an amazing soul." Kamal replied that Mary had a "deep, spiritual side." Roberto gushed about Saskia having beautiful hair, and Saskia repaid the compliment saying that Roberto had "big beautiful eyes."

They love each other now, but how will they feel once the nominations start?

Did you all see it when Mary said " you give me such inspiration" lol lol lol what a pile of tosh.

Robertos effort was sooooo funny as well and he really thought it was good which made me laugh all the more.

Anothny went around thinking he was an art critic lol lol
