omg I just read some rumours from a source that is claiming the album will be called Pop Art [lame] andddddddd will have a pop-up booklet! That would be SO awesome, she always produces such awesome inlays, this would be so cool!

Hadn't posted in a while so thought I'd update you. As I revealed a few weeks ago November 23rd is the release date in the UK. But more interesting is that the album title may be 'Pop Art' rather than 'Light & Darkness'.

Expect the single to hit radio about end of September ish because the November 23rd date should be confimed in the next 14 days officially.

This appears to be true as I heard about it yesterday too. Sony BMG have it listed for 23 November. This is no lie, and Pop Art looks like it is indeed the title unless its just a working title.. if it changes then we will know in about 5 weeks anyway.

Its not a double disk but there is 18 songs on it as that is given as the running time and it will have a pop up booklet which is completed.

And from what I hear the album is more indie pop than pop pop.

yeah it is a GH but with her best album tracks from Stripped, My Kind Of Xmas, Mi Reflejo, B2B and CA plus a couple of b-sides and collabs.

She seems to be pulling out all the stops with this album.With the late November date and 18 tracks aswell as the pop-up booklet it should sell loads.With the recession 'n all people will want their money's worth.
I was so pissed off when i spent 15 euro on The Script's album and Duffy's when there was only 10 songs on it! & im glad its not a double disk either, like IASF.Its soo awkward switching the CD's all the time.
"Light & Darkness" is much better than "Pop Art",but "Pop Art" makes me think that the album will be amazing...

Could the fact that they're releasing the album details on the same day as the VMA's mean that she'll perform the new single at the event?

well obviously there have been strong rumours about that, I hope so but I;m not so sure. One thing I'm quite confident about though is that she will perform on X Factor which should be great publicity.

I think she's really focusing on coming back with a bam after she was forced into KGB by her label. This is her time to prove herself [well ever more than she already has] when she decides the time is right.

well according to some people who went to one of the live audition shows Simon told the crowd of a few of the names they were either hoping to get or had booked and she was one of them plus it would be perfect timing for the album release. So its looking good.

“The contestants were beside themselves when they heard who they were designing for,” Runway executive producer Jane Cha tells TVGuideMagazine.com. "They couldn’t believe it was Christina. And they really had to think about it, because costuming is not their forte."

But it is the forte of the legendary Mackie, who is best known for outfitting Cher and Tina Turner. "We tap into his archives, so it was very interesting," says Cha. "For the designers, it will be lots of glitz and glam for the stage, and that’s very different from American sportswear."

Was Aguilera pleased with her new garments? "She was really happy with the results," says Cha.

Christina has designed a pair of kids shoes for the charity Shoes That Fit that aims to help children in need by buying them a pair of decent shoes [LOL sounds ridiculous but its cute actually]. Demi Lovato and Denise Richards among others have also designed a pair.

In this week's edition of People magazine's music section, they have 5 Albums That Changed my life with Jordin Sparks. The third in the list is: Christina Aguilera, Christina Aguilera.

It says, "I wanted to be her. I was so mad I wasn't blonde! She has a big voice and she influenced me in the way I use my voice now."

Mike: When you look at other artists that have been in a similar position that you are now, whose career would you like to emulate? Who do you look at in their late 20s and think, "If I have their career when I'm in my late 20s, I'm doing pretty good."

Demi Lovato: I would say Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera. Christina was in "The Mickey Mouse Club" and she learned the lessons of growing up too fast for her fans and learning how to do it perfectly. She made a name for herself after it. You don't really associate her with that, with where she started. You think, "Wow, what an icon," now. And I think Kelly Clarkson has done the same.

Mike: And you don't read something bad about [them] all the time...

Demi Lovato: Right. Kelly Clarkson and Christina stay out of the tabloids and I very much admire that and I'd like to be the same.
