Any thoughts guys ?

Do your normal weekly shops still, plus a little extra.
Then if you can’t get out you are ok for a fortnight.
I have my 2 shops a week booked as normal even though the pantry is still well stocked, not gone over the top stockpiling but we always keep a full pantry in case of emergencies.

Why not do click and collect, so let the staff do the shopping for you

So went out food shopping today first time since lockdown...queued for about 45 mins, its a one out, one in system, but once inside shelves were pretty much back to normal, still a few patchy areas but in the main a full shop, it will be a once a week trip for the foreseeable

There's no proof that masks affect transmission rates at all and theres no benefit in surgical gloves over and above thoroughly washing your hands. In fact in some cases they make matters worse because people think that as they were wearing gloves, they don't have to wash their hands.

Incorrect

There is NO evidence people feel more at ease

i signed up for ocado home delivery. I then went in a queue at 4:30 am to get on the site that had 260,000 people in front of me. When i finally got on to the site some 3 hours later, it said, sorry, no delivery slots available

Sainsburys are only delivering to those identified as vulnerable now and I think that is the right way forward at this stage

Hmmm.
Not delivering to all vulnerable or disabled though.
You have to ge on the extreme list. The government have to ok you first.

It is at my nearest Tesco, quite a few people being told to wait outside whilst one person went in. Also quite a few elderly people out with a younger family member therefore having to choose between sending the elderly person in alone, or leaving them outside alone.

Not all that well thought out, in my opinion.

Tesco online has a maximum allowance of 80 items a shop online from today.
All deliveries will be in bags.

At precious M&S today there was a queue and a one-in-one-out policy. Only 3 in the queue when I went though and I was queueing for less than 5 minutes.

Shelves were full though, no shortage of anything. Except... still no pasta. Has pasta gone extinct?

They've also pre-bagged all of the loose baked stuff at the bakery section which TBH I feel like they should do anyway... I don't want to worry about some pervert fingering my victoria sponge muffin.

What about all the produce that’s been touched by other customers .. they just move things around or pick them up to read the label or sell by date ??

Surely there are the germs/bacteria everywhere?
