Comes in to to start packing up the coffee machines as the prospective new owners of the bar have now given the coffee shop its marching orders.

The take over is now a mere formality, in the absence of any other bid.

Looks around for one last time and wonders how it will shape up after they rename the bar "The Cockroach and Celary Stick" when they take over

Oh Amy what are we to do with you
You really must control yourself you know
Mr O'Leary would not want his wife acting in this way!
You may end up with your pic on the front page of The Sun
I can picture the headlines now

Has anyone got a date when the new owners take over and Boris Bar becomes the Cockroach and Cellary Stick ?

I would have preferred Kaz to take over, so we could keep the coffee shop and the place would have been known as the Kaz Bar

Only joking Amy - the wonderful Dermot would not have a wife life Jordan or Jodie - but a delightful young lady with a good sense of humour who just happens to like to enjoy herself in a certain bar once in a while. Nothing wrong in that.

Spots new notice amongst the mail with a request to post it on the notice board

Quote:

To the patrons of Boris Bar

Here at Harvester we are excited at the prospect of taking over Boris Bar. When we take ownership, after final contractual negotiations, the bar will be closed for about 2 months to enable major refurbishment, after which we will open up as part of our "Nettle and Doc-Leaf" chain. This is one of our up and coming theme bars geared at the young professional market.

We look forward to your continued patronage after the refurbishment and re-launch in due course

Oh dear that let's me out. Perhaps they will find a corner especially devoted to the 'older' clientele.

Don't count on it

Up here in Newcastle upon Tyne, one couple were refused entry by the bouncers because they were too old and would not fit in with the youth image they wanted for their venue.

It is near where I work, but I have never stepped foot in there because I am too old and therefore I am banned.

Before any new owners take over - just like to make a special offer. Boss has just returned from Cardiff laden down with packets of Welsh cakes.

So to stop me eating them and ruining my diet - I shall be offering them free of charge to any customers this evening.

When the new owners take over, that kind of fare will not be available as the do not fit in with the image.

I hear they want to really target the youth market, and us oldies are a liability

Oh why did Kaz not get the management buy out

I think Boris should organise a HUGE closing down party before she finally sells out.

I'm close to 2 thousand. Takes ages to cross these milestones once you notice you are close!
