I'm straight and do cringe at times when someone is really 'mincing' (and they don't always have to be gay to mince!!)....but I do hate any form of prejudice, when it is against those who are not harming anyone else....it's become the 'in-thing' now to be homophobic again - ****** the homophobes

Its the malicous ones I can't stand the ones that mess around with our school's education system and pull children out of a good science class to teach them about gay feelings and gay life! LOL

Anyway this whole thread is gay!

Yes, this is quite annoying I must admit...gays are permitted to call each other fags, puffs etc. however if a straight person says it, it is homophobic...no matter what context it is used.

If a straight person calls me a ****, I'm not offended, unless they say it in a malicious way.
Shame a lot of gays arent like you then. my mates have no problem with me saying things like that in a jokey way, yet they flounce around my house, my sister says 'stop being a ****'(joking) or something similar, and they kick off...its very strange...

As hard as it may be to believe, it takes a lot to offend me.

Being called a **** etc, meh, I am, so I'm not offended.

Just sometimes people say things which are below the belt. fair enough it's their opinion, but people need to know when their opinion should be kept to themselves, or just worded slightly better, as to not seem malicious or hateful.

Define below the belt.....

Everybody's definitions of what is seen as below the belt will be different.

For example:

If someone said: 'Homosexuality makes me feel uncomfortable somtimes'.

That to me is fine. It expresses an opinion w/out being rude or spiteful.

However if somebody wrote: 'Homosexuality makes me feel sick. It's disgusting'.

That to me is offensive. It's all about how people word things.

What's a gay man going to do? Hit someone with his handbag?
I see someone spent most of their time picking the hairs off their arse in school rather than learning something.

I have no issue with people who don't agree with homosexuality. Everybody has their own thoughts and feelings. But comments which say they are disgusting etc, like that may cause offence (and are not needed).
How do you define homophobia?
Do you get off on accusations without evidence?
Is it an opinion to dislike homosexuality, therefore not offensive to be homophobic?
I hate the thought of gay sexual acts, as do most people around the world, hence 90% of people are hetrosexuals, therefore wrong to state that those who have gay sex are disgusting?
Have you, ever in your life, discribed someone as disgusting?

The only reason some people use the word "disgusting" is because they've been too ignorant in themselves as to actually GET TO KNOW a gay person. Hense they aren't used to gay people.

If someone is around a gay person long enough you'd get used to it. It's nearly impossible to hold a grudge against someone purely because of their sexuality.

Why should we all accept homosexuality? Its a disgusting act. Thats my opinion, im entitled to it, just as you are in thinking hetrosexuality is a disgusting act.

The irony is, its fascism when you try and stop people having an opinion.

Is homophibic thinking that gay sex is disgusting, homosexuals are, or both?

This is a very good point. I have gay mates who spout their mouths off if they see a straight couple kissing, saying it is disgusting and such.

I tell them to shut the fcuk up because it is more natural than them...I dont believe this in all honesty, any sexuality is natural, but it shuts them up sharpish
Surprised and dissapointed that you added to this homophobic post Vicky. I know you said you didn't mean what you say to your friends, but you obviously have that opinion if you even bothered to post here.

Just because I don't like Dev's uncle on Corrie, it dos'nt make me a racist, but some people are so sensitive they would immediately jump to that conclusion.
So in this PC world if we don't like someone and they are gay or whatever, we are labeled not for not liking the person but for what gender colour etc, etc.
So if another gay person don't like Charlie it's because they don't like Charlie, they are not classed as homophobes, we can have our opinions BIG BROTHER ain't in charge yet.
