You noticed I used the term 'misogyny' and then followed my lead by introducing the parallel 'misandry'.
Well I'm going to call that 'ironic' and here is why:
I would concede that Marcus is more of a 'Misandrist' than a 'Misogynist'.
This is because his father was an abusive sonofabitch that abandoned him.
He gets the 'Misogyny' later (blames mother) but the misandry is really the 'core' pathology with Marcus.

But for anyone who does want to bring any gender bias to Marcus then there is a bit of a twist:
Marcus is a 'male' but he is not a 'Man'. He is really a boy. About 17 years old still.
Good, I'm glad you have conceded to my wisdom, however it is you who is the misandrist not Marcus.

It is of special interest that you continue this man hatred when referring to Marcus's father - 'his father was an abusive sonofabitch that abandoned him.' This is very interesting not least because you have no concrete knowledge that this is the case. You do, of course, have your own experiences on which to base such assumptions. Could this be you voicing your cry for help with regards your own parental experiences?

This is very telling and is probably a projection of your own feelings(rejection/abandonment) on to the object you so hate i.e. marcus(though actually desire).

We are getting to the root of the problem.

Actually it is becoming clear that you partially identify with marcus and are very possibly drawn to him sexually. However your hatred of the father figure(your father not marcus's)is displaced symbolically in Marcus. Marcus becomes the receptacle(sp) of your hatred for men(a hatred that maybe rooted in your relationship with your own father/mother).

The fact that you want to arrest Marcus's development at the level of a teenage boy again hints at your own sexuallity in relation to adult males. You hate/fear(secretly desire) the adult male(father)and so wish all adult men were teenage boys?

You really are a mess and Marcus has become the focus/punch bag for what you most fear re your own self and true identity in relation to men and your own father/mother.

You may have constructed a persona/identity that is not true to your own self and we are perhaps beginning to see why?

Men like Marcus threaten the stability of that constructed false identity and it is the fear of knowing your true self that evokes your rabid responses.

you have my sympathies.

How on earth did you manage to get yourself to write an essay on Marcus' muscles?

nah, it's really an essay on the pyschosis(sp) of el proxo...

wee bit of therapy going on here...think we are very close to some kind of breakthrough re self realisation and self acceptance on the part of el proxo.

Nope. I am basing this on 'concrete knowledge' supplied by Marcus, his friends and family.
Yes, I do have a similar background and that similarity is why I can call foul on Marcus with some special insight you may or may not have.
It makes me more the expert on what Marcus has done wrong.

Yes. I have actually explained that in several posts in this forum. In part and to an extent I really do identify with Marcus (so far as it goes).
Again, that is why I am in a better position to criticise his wrong doing than others who do not relate to Marcus as easily.

One thing you might want to do is find something else but the same 'turn it around' angle over and over to your fake analysis thing.
Its like that is your only trick here.
It becomes a schoolyard '..No.. YOU are' and 'No.. that is what YOU did' to everything and anything said.
From a comedy trolling pov you need to do better.

Has anyone ever heard the phrase "turning into a pastiche of oneself"? This thread is very, very funny.

I stand by my analysis of you...I think it is very probably accurate. You have picked out a few lines from my previous post but you have steered well clear of the actual body of the analysis itself.

This is a common avoidance trait amongst people with 'issues' when those same issues are 'outed'.

You admit yourself that you identify with Marcus? If i got that right then why not the 'issues' you have?

You should read R. D. Laing's - The Divided Self. and also Sanity, Madness and the Family. It may help you.

Of course Laing's gig re the family(and perhaps by extension wider society)being the deciding factor re mental health is largely out of favour these days. But it might be a good starting point for you.

There is also the vibe that you might be some kind of feminist, but of the outdated 1st/2nd wave type. That is so pre 1990 and largely superceded by smarter go-getter type feminists. Have a look at some of the third wave feminist stuf out there both as related to serious academic thought and in popular culture.

and,
Despite all but standing on top of Toms arm and giving himself an aneurysm - Marcy looked pretty sad in the arm wrestle.
Okay.
But I would have thought wrestling would be the perfect test of that 'workmans build' type of strength and suiting Marcys short fat build.
But wow.. ..he looks so weak. I mean really it was as if he has no strength at all?
Rodrigo barely seemed to be resisting and yet Marcy was just about dying to desperately move him around lol?
Obviously we know Siavash easily took the crown and is THE new Darkhorse,
but,
This is all leading to a sort of more serious question:
Are we just seeing how weak Marcus has always been,
or,
Is he even weaker than ever before?
I mean it was as if he barely had girl power in his muscles.
Could it be the diet?
It wasn't just that Marcus muscles are weak but he seemed to have zero athletic energy at all and tired out fast.
Maybe he is having some health problems?
Should a Doctor check him out?

I mean if he is this weak and lethargic then I'd be worried that The Darkhorse (Siavash) might even accidentally injure poor Marcy if they do any more of these events.
Or what if Rodrigo pushes Marcus and ends up sending Marcus home early from an injury?
You have a serious problem with marcus it seems....you are either:

1. jealous of the guy for some reason

2. wish you was marcus

3. have a bald head at a young age and jealous of his flowing locks.

3.sexually frustrated and wanna shag him

4. just a silly immature forum poster

5. a troll

wrestling is not a strength (although it plays a part)
sport ...its based on skill, technique, and some luck.
trust me ive done it.
anyone with these attributes can take out a bigger man

I suggest you get your facts right before you blab the way you do.

Marcus - the cheapest and smallest sort of man.
you're aversion to proper men such as Marcus borders on the hysterical.

You may be suffering from penis envy...

More likely though it's because you have an overpowering sexual attraction for such men which you are in deep denial over.

It's causing you a lot of conflict.

I think you indentify as being a 'lesbian'. Am i correct?

the problem is though that your lesbian indentification is not rooted in a healthy attraction for members of your own gender but rather a flight response from hating/loving men.

You are probably a rather melancholic person aren't you? You probably are prone to depresions etc. though you probably put this down to some kind of artistic temperment/angst.

you need to really be honest about your sexual oirentation(sp). you need to get in touch with the real inner you and not 'consruct' an identity for yourself that is very likely rooted in hatred.

Of course the Id and the Ego are in a constant shifting dynamic, but you are putting extra burden on that symbiotic relationship with your burden of man hatred.

You are unhappy as you presently are and it eminates from you in bitter hatred of men.

There has to be a reason for that and that reason needs to be explored and resolved and closure looked for.

Wow, now that's an interesting post....

Marcus is probably fairly strong and tough, but wrestling using baby oil is really difficult and requires alot of technique.

Marcus looked quite strong with Vash at times and used a few good grappling techniques (like going downwards to avoid being moved forward), but to me it looked like he ran out of steam to be honest. He looked out of breath afterwards. I think it was more a fitness problem. Needs to work on his cardio.

But, Vash won fair and square as he doesn't seem to work out much himself (?), and he may have more natural grappling skills and strength.

yeah, there is the distinct possibility the OP has constructed an identity founded largely on her hatred of men as symbolised by Marcus. However there is reason to believe the OP in actuality DESIRES men(as symbolised by Marcus)thus throwing their inner world into a state of conflict resulting in near hysterical and irrational misandry.

yeah, think it may well come down to cardio. Marcus is 35 and siavash 23(i think). those extra 12 years do make a big difference re cardio.

It takes some power to do it to someone like Marcus, I think he must of had some experience in his home country.

he'd only need that apparatus if he were gay and giving hand relief to siavash or kris or charlie or roddy.

i can't believe people are judging someone on their strength over an arm wrestle and a oiled up wrestle. Builders, window fitters, scaffolders all are the workmen build but will be stronger in different areas of their bodies depending on what they daily job entiles.

Having done scaffolding myself i know it requires upper back strength and alot of strength in your wrist forearms and upper arms (depending on how you prefer to carry the poles)

The lads i worked with and other lads i know from the job pretty much carry everything on their shoulders.

Arm wrestling needs strength but it also requires alot of technique as well. He went up against someone who hits the gym an awful lot. He works all areas of his body so will be stronger. Given none of them arm wrestle alot you can safely say they both have no technique.

In the pool they both were oiled up the bottom of the pool was very slippery so marcus could have pushed all his strength against roddy and all they strength would of disappeared into the slide against the bottom of the pool as he had no base in which to support his push.

Siavash looked like he had either wrestled before or was naturally good as he kept his natural center of gravity low and always kept his grip around their waist which again is a good center of gravity to keep when your that low down.

Rant over
