Not exactly fair to have a dig at the male gender in general because of one experience. Yes, there are the 'lad' types, just like there are the 'slag' types and so on. It's not about the gender, it's about the person.

You need a good judgement of the persons personality and character when you meet them as well, if your impressions of the person are that they arnt trustworthy or they show off in front of friends and like the female attention then it should be up to you to stop there and not go any further because the outcome probably wont be good.. Both genders do this but there's more good people than bad out there

I did mention in the original message it's not all guys, I am aware of that and have some great male friends but the guys I seem to end up being more than friends with turn out to be lads who act up with their friends.
