There's a lot more to this story then what's being said, It's strange that the police opened fire on an unverified target TWICE. Why were they so determined to shoot to kill if it's not to hide something?

The man crossed the line and deserved to be brought to justice but the police force's actions are incredibly suspicious.

we don't know yet for certain, but considering he is a cop killer, with a specific intention to kill cops, i'd say that the cops have no reason to lie. I believe them.

Simple, He was trying to make a escape. Sniper caught him sneaking out a window and shot him.

As for the shooting incident (I have no idea what you mean by second), the first one made sense because it happened a bit after the guy went on his vendetta against LAPD. The police themselves were on edge and they thought it was his car so they shot at it.

Is the second the shootout we just had?

probably because the cops thought he might be watching CNN, and they didn't want to give him any advantage by being able to watch what they were doing? SO the cops probably asked the media to stop covering it live while they approached the cabin. It seems like a reasonable thing to do.

Also, after Wako, the forces are weary about having these things played out on our screens.

It's also the news, not a snuff channel. People shouldn't be able to watch the cops murdering a citizen - even though he is guilty of some heinous crimes himself.
