Yeah, It's a bit disturbing when people go "OOH THIS IS SEXXI" when we find it relaxing. But yeah, Dmitri is my favourite. I love inaudible whispering.

Years ago, before the ASMR community existed, I had been searching for videos of relaxation tapes that would give me that tingly feeling and I found this amazing video that I've had on my mp3 player for years now:

It's so great that this community has grown so much in the last couple of years, I went from thinking I'd never find anyone else who experienced the same sensation as me to having thousands of videos to listen to, to get that feeling!

I used to listen to tapes when I went to bed as a child, authors reading out their novels... I wonder if that has anything to do with why I experience ASMR because not everybody gets it

It's not creepy... The actual content of the video isn't really the point of the video, it's the sounds that create this buzzing, tingling, relaxing feeling, usually on the scalp or down the back of the head.

I just find it not calming at all, and I listen to a lot of relaxation stuff.

It's different to deep breathing/relaxation stuff in my opinion, those are more about atmosphere and getting you to calm down; ASMR is more... I dunno, about sounds and is specifically to try and create tingling, can't really explain it any better than that.

I guess I associate it too much from my degree days where we had to study and create stuff like this. The effects don;t have any impact on me with many of these things.
