He said in the diary room that he was going to continue to be nice to Linda, so what is so fake & why is he 'grovelling'?? If he was rude to her & didn't bother cooking for her you would be slating him for doing that, he can't win!

And there is a difference between liking & someone & being civil. No Jim may not like Linda (& who can blame him) but he still tries to be pleasant to her, she cannot even bare to be civil when he has cooked HER dinner! Miserable, bitter, old bitch!

I don't HATE any of them lol its a tv show how could anyone actually hate them.

I dislike Jim as I think he is insincere, he has been a good housemate but has been faked being nice to most of them since day 1, its only Linda who can bring out his true colours but I don't think we are gonna see it.

Hes keeping his cool well but I would respect him more if he finally let rip and put her in her place like he is desperately trying not to as he is desperate to look good after all the controvercy surrounding him.

No he doesn't like Linda, but that is only because of how she has behaved towards him. He had no issue with her at all, it was Linda who turned on him (for reasons we now know to be because her tealeaf dead husband stole money off Frank Carson & Jim wanted to punch him & Linda got him thrown out of the club)... Jim was quite prepared to be civil to her, but the bitterness raging inside this woman is unbelievable...

What is so wrong about being nice to someone, even if you do not like them? How many of us do this our day to day lives? I don't like some people I work with, I don't like some of my sisters partners, but I am still pleasant & civil to them. It is what decent people do.

I don't see how being civil is being fake? Surely if anything it shows that Jim is the far bigger person as he is able to keep his personal feeling under wraps, unlike miserable old bitch hag Nolan...

Some people may want him to kick off at her as it would make great TV, but just as many would them slate him & say "Told you he hasn't changed, once an aggressive thug always an aggressive thug etc..." He really cannot win WHATEVER he does...

I think she is bringing out his true colours: we're seeing that he can be patient, long-suffering and can walk away from an argument, and when he does get riled enough to retaliate, he makes spot-on comments, such as saying she is bitter, or can come back with snappy, funny comments, such as "shove the knives up your arse then", which she can only counter with more hectoring because she's not clever enough to think of a good come-back herself. If someone had told me to shove knives up my arse, I'd have said "I'd prefer to shove them up yours" and I'd have probably started to laugh.

The housemates must be as thick as she is if they still can't see through her - that cherry brandy incident was unbelievable. He couldn't have planned to expose her for drinking it, because if he had, she'd have wiped the floor with him by revealing that he'd been drinking wine.

Grovelling? in what way, he had already said in the DR he was going to continue to be nice to Linda (probably because it gets up her nose more than actually wanting to befriend her), so I don't see how that could be construed as grovelling?

This has been the impression I got all along. Linda always thinks she's right, which is why she persisted with all the attacks on Jim in spite of the obvious public support for him. She cannot cope with people who have a different view from hers, so she controls and manipulates people to get their agreement, or punishes them.

She has now seen that she's at risk of losing support, so she tried to rescue the situation by acknowledging that she might be at fault, but then pulled out her dead widow card to justify herself, as if the behaviour only started with the FC stuff... thus putting all the blame back on Jim again. It was a totally transparent, fake apology. Why did she suddenly want to apologise for nominating him? She never did before.
