Joey I think this picture sums up how David Cameron must be feeling about Nick Clegg's performance in these debates.

I agree , Cameron knows the electorate will not be denied a referendum on EU membership. No more lies, no more delays he has to include a ref in the next Tory manifesto otherwise UKIP will get so many votes that will allow Labour to win election so mr Cameron is effectively caught between a rock and a hard place.

Didn't realise the EU forces Britain to take huge numbers of European migrants skilled or unskilled to the detriment of the UK's ability to take skilled people from all other non European countries.

Scandalous really, not in charge of our own Country

Why are more people not angry about this ?

Really do other European Countries have to do the same, I can't imagine Spain for example complying..

I think we got a lot of scaremongering from Nigel Farage and some rather over inflated estimates from Nick Clegg as to the problems we would face out of the EU.

I have to admit that Nick Clegg did better than I expected and on this subject I do in the main agree more with him than even the other 2 main parties.
I don't support the UKIP position at all.

My view wasn't altered one tiny bit from this debate.
I still support being in the EU and I neither want to have, or see the point of having a referendum on EU membership.
We are EU members, have been a long time now and only in the event of treaty changes and particularly any that call for a transfer of powers from the UK would I support a referendum at that time.

As to who won the debate, well I recall Nick Clegg talking directly to the camera and to the questioner, recalling their names too in the leaders debates in 2010.
Spouting out promises and all the things he would nver support, then doing the total opposite, so not impressed with that now.

For me although I agree with Nick Clegg a lot on the EU, I unfortunately think Nigel Farage and UKIP will benefit more from this debate than Clegg and the sheeplike Lib Dems.
I think Nigel Farage did a lot better than Nick Clegg in this debate and came across more sincere.
However,I see UKIP as a dangerous party for the good of all the UK and hope people will not just look at their EU stance but really get into and see the bad other policies they have.

No party will, or will be able to, deliver a referendum in the next parliament, unless there is any treaty changes, for which the conditions for a referendum are already locked in as automatic no matter who forms the next Govt.
Otherwise than that, in likely all fact,as some called this debate, all this EU talk is merely a sideshow from the really important issues for the UK,in my opinion.

Theres something extraordinarily sanctimonious about clegg....I dont trust him and I dont particularly like him
farrage comes across as a typical british semi eccentric, but he does come across as sincere if thats the right word.
as for the subject matter, europe is a total disaster
I dont agree its either all in or all out....but the entire farcical non accountable gravy train must be derailed...the 580 page constitution is 560+ pages longer than the american constitution and 560 times less valuable

we didnt go into europe to finance 1000s of freeloaders to introduce 1000001 stupid laws dictating to us what we can and cant do and over riding most of british law, only to see other EU nations break these rules...meanwhile we pay in more than nearly everyone and get far less out. I detest what its become. its like a local corrupt wasteful council to the power 1 million

the issue of immigration is the least important imo Im not bothered by that at all...though I hope the rules on benefits are not exploited as we are not in a good economic position and our nhs is struggling to say the least. though I think the nhs collapse is as much about organization, accountability and values. Id draw up an nhs constitution too and encourage staff to make complaints totally anonymously. lousy staff must be weeded out urgently.

the EU was meant to encourage free trade and cut trade tape, its done the exact opposite
the fact so many european nations went bust and they hand picked a puppet government for italy just sums up what a car crash it all is. we are lucky we have farrage to point this out to us in his own inimitable way.

I can say exactly the same for Farage. Neither of these two clowns inspire me with confidence. As for coming out of the EU what will happen to all the British people working and living in European countries if the UK leave? I really can't see any UK government being brow beated by Brussels while all other Countries do what they like, there must be some kick back for the UK.

Minor parties expressing minority views. totally irrelevant political figures.

Neither party has any chance of having any kind of majority control in our lifetimes.

Might as well have had Katy Hopkins debating George Galloway.

1) they will never win total power but as weve seen they have the potential to form coallitions
2) even if they dont get into power again, having a UKIP mp does at least ensure these topics will be top of the agenda and you know where they stand
3) ukip are not a long term party they are here for the moment. but the liberals have sold out and once this government is done, so are they , forever

He said questions will be 6 or 8

Cant wait for tonite after the good Farage documentary.

Clegg is a vile career "Thick of it" politician who fears being off message

Farage is a bloke from Kent who has had enough

The public want Farage to kick Cleggs slimy butt and here's hoping he does it again

Because Farage mentioned at the end of the last debate that he admired Putin as a leader he has had to endure a whispering campaign against him suggesting he is a traitor to the west or is disloyal or treasonous.

Utter nonsense, typical Political manoeuvre if you can't attack the man's policies then attack the man.

Kay Burley on SkyNewsHD just
gave David a box of top Champagne
he did not know if he could take it
he was outside the BBC W1 HQ.
He moved off camera to give it to his assistant.
Davis smiled and said thank you.

The thing is,all this is doing is giving Nigel Farage a higher status.
I have chatted to several people today who watched last week to try to learn more as to the EU, they learned nothing at all and were more confused than before after it.

A debate on the EU needs to be between people who can more objectively point out the pro EU issues and the anti ones too.
These 2.Clegg and Farage, are the 2 extreme as to the EU.
One has succcessfully goaded a leading UK politician into furnishing him with much more airtime than he would have likely got, namely Nigel Farage.

Then we have the other one, Nick Clegg, who is in all likelihood using this to set out his EU credentials again, in order to land hopefully for himself a really lucrative job in the EU after he leads his party into the abyss in 2015.

I will watch this but I hope it sticks to EU matters only, it is only supposed to be an EU debate.
Sadly with David Dimbledy hosting I fear it may sidetrack.
