800K (2.8%) with 128K (0.5%)... overall ratings of 928K and a share of 3.3% Pretty on par with many of the episodes this series, despite a lower share.. which is as expected.
I personally feel like getting close to that million is a good thing! The World Cup was seen by 12 million (50.3%) on BBC One and a much smaller 2.8 million (12.1%) on ITV.. leading to an overall of 14.8 million (62.4%) Peak of 16.7 million on BBC One (61.4%) and 3.9 milion on ITV (13.8%).. leading to an overall of 20.6 million (75.2%) I'm interested to see what BBC Two and C4 got! As their programming targeted a completely different audience age group compared with the other 3! Nevertheless, 3.3%.. okay it's not the best, but it's certainly much stronger than I was expecting.. And when you consider than the 5 main channels hold an average share of just over 50%.. the fact that two channels alone had 62%.. 65% inc. C5, and I suspect that share rises to 70% with BBC Two and C4, which must mean the night was terrible for all multi-channels. So if anything, there's a positive to draw from BB's episode! |

Channel 4's Titanic pipped C5 slightly to gain 970K, while BBC Two held 850K.. so despite all the televisual drama.. C5 came 4th in it's slots.
