I'm also getting a bit sick of his 'in this country' statements. He does not represent the rest of the UK with his standards and rules on humour. If Leslie had been offended by James bending over then this would have went a whole different way, but Leslie went along with the joke, Gary joined in, then James blew the whole thing out of proportion. IN THIS COUNTRY is a fair thing to say.. The culture in the United Kingdom is far different to the United States of America.. and let's be honest, whilst they wouldn't admit it now.. the majority of the people on this forum, I would gamble, wouldn't have a clue who Gary Busey was without the aid of google or wikipedia

His behaviour in last night's highlights wasn't much better. David needs to sort himself out as well. He talks fast, and has an accent, yet can't handle that Gary can barely hear him and when he does hear him, he has trouble understanding him. When James talked slower and was more demonstrative with his speech, he was berated on here and accused of being sarcastic and making fun of him... these guys cannot win no matter what they do.

James/David fancy themselves as the alpha-males of the house. They both come across as a pair of self-absorbed twats to me.
Again, Im sure your character assassinations will mortify them when they leave the house...

Picking apart? Lol. It's called replying where I come from.

The use of 'in quote' emboldened snippets is a rather unusual replying style.

Why are you separating him from the other housemates? If the "others" are fame hungry wannabees then sure that Mr Busey is among them... desperate to rekindle a glimmer of fame and pots of money... Im sure he can enlighten them on their path to fame with tales of his spousal battery, drug abuse and animal abuse.. Jeez I am so wrong.. that man is TV Gold!

Having a relative with hearing loss I know how annoying it can be at times to keep repeating everything you say BUT imagine how difficult it is for the person with the hearing loss.
It's no wonder he gets cross at times when there are so many people talking over each other.
James should just make sure that when he talks to Gary that he is facing him & talking clearly.
A little more patience is needed but I'm not sure James has any.

Tarryn.. I too have relatives with hearing limitations. They do however have hearing aids and that does make things better. James DID talk slower and looked straight at him, Busey cannot look people in the eye when they talk to him, he's far too self important for that. When James did slow his speech slightly and talked clearer, he was accused on here of being a patronising ****. He cannot do right for doing wrong in some people's eyes, but honestly can't think it will bother him in the slightest.

I understand that but sometimes James can come across as very aggressive.
Does Gary have a hearing aid ?

You really don't like Gary do you and that is your right. But this looking at him business is riduculous. For a start you don't know why he isn't looking at him, maybe it is something to do with his brain injury, maybe he wasn't going to be spoken to by the jumped-up James like that - if he had told me to ook at him whilst he was talking to me, I wouldn't have looked at him either - who the hell does he think he is.

He is trying to make a name for himself by taking the great Gary Busey on - a lot easier to do when ihe is 70 with brain damage. No doubt he wouldn't have dared taken on a much younger and fitter Gary.

I have gone right off James, I think he is an attention-seeking coward who will take on what he considers 'weaker' targets in order to big-himself up.

He has hearing problems. CLEARLY it is better to look at someone when they are talking - without the fact that it is actually polite to do so - deaf or not!

I worry for society more when it's becoming clear both inside and outside the house how intolerant some people can be.

You keep referring to his age - 'old creep/old fart' which stronglysuggests ageism, which has me worried for society if this is a common opinion of young people today.

James's lack of consideration for Gary's age has been more disturbing to me than anything Gary has said or done on the show.

I love you class me within the bracket of "young people"

How many times did James say, in the bedroom, I am not going to argue with you Gary, you are older than me and I respect my elders... or did you have hearing disabilities when he said that?

A clever ploy by BB to make the housemate feel guilty for nominating him
