Holby City bosses are bringing back the popular character of Frieda Petrenko, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.

Olga Fedori has signed up to reprise her role as Frieda for a six-month stint and will be back on our screens at the end of the year.

Viewers can look forward to seeing Frieda's comeback scenes in December, when she returns to work with Jac Naylor at the request of Elliot Hope.

Little more is known about what to expect at this stage, but there are bound to be fireworks on Darwin with straight-talking Frieda back on the scene.

I heard Crystal might be leaving (no source was given and it was a bit bizarre to say so probs not true) but if she does it only supports the notion of Sam and Iain getting back together </3 which would be a WASTE after Lily and Iain spent over a year being built up

Judging by the trailer either Jac, Ric or Hanssen will die. Gonna rule out Jac because I'm sure she will stay but I think Fredrik could possibly kill Hanssen. Paul McGann will then become the boss

I cant see Hanseen dying he is too popular of a character. Same with Jac.

Rik on the other hand is only in it on and off the last few years, I know he has been in it the longest but he the most expandable of them 3. We have no idea if any of these 3 will die anyway. It could be a different character all together.

I just think they will be central to the story and could be at risk. I'd say Ric is an obvious choice if so...

What ever the case I am loving Holby at the moment, Casualty is still hit and miss with me, Dylan is the only character keeping me watching it, and they kinda ruined him with this smuggling the kid into the country storyline. Reruns on Drama in the morning are so much better, never seen the nick jordan years so loving them
