The phrasing of "I'm a gamer" is just... weird. Makes it sound like they're playing Halo and COD on the daily (and if that's what they meant, then wow... very diverse, what a defining characteristic). It makes me realise why we call them gameplayers. "Gamer" just makes them sound like an obnoxious teenager, not a tactful housemate.

I'm convinced that's what it meant. Not tactful, not a gameplayer, but a GAMER. Someone who plays Videogames, someone into sci-fi, or someone seen as a "geek". Like I said, think, Big Bang Theory.

That's what I took it to mean.
