Im not gonna lie, that sex tape boosted her career. Without it, her fans probably wouldnt have her, and 5 series' of the Simple Life wouldnt have been made.

I don't think you can blame celebs for sextapes. I mean, there are a lot of regular ppl who have them and unfortunately for the celebs, they are worth a lot of money if they are in it, and unscrupulous ppl will always sell them on.

Every celebrity has their fans though, so they can't be that pointless.

The only one I agree with from this thread is Rebecca Loos.. for allegedly sleeping with David Beckham,now that is a pathetic claim to fame. But I have to admit that I did like her when she was on Love Island.

And to those who have said that Paris and Nicole are pointless celebrities.. Yes, they wouldn't exist in the celebrity world right now if it wasn't for their famous fathers. But they have earned their own celebrity status'. How can they be pointless when they have millions of fans around the world? They both made the SL, Paris is a model/actress/singer and Nicole is a actress/singer(releasing an album) and had loads of new projects coming up.

He got famous for marrying one of the most famous singers in the world, but since then he's worked on projects like his music. And also he and Britney made that reality show, so he must have gained alot of fans there.

There is no doubt the sex tape and the outrageous lifestyle has boosted her career. Hence, my earlier point regarding priveleged idiots doing crazy things. She has no talent.

A lot of them you know because they want to be known and the media are fool enough to promote them and there dubious lifestyles.

All it takes is some fool thinks these people are important at the beginning of there celebrity careers and the machine takes over. Once they make the papers media managers take over building them up getting them more and more coverage. As the coverage increases so does the fan base and with that the money they can sell their stories for. This makes more money for the mangers and the celebrity with which to live the celebrity lifestyle which keeps them in the press and in the trashy celebrity magazines. It becomes one big money making circle until they get too old or make a big mistake.

It's not that these people have really done anything great or have any real talent expect for living the celebrity lifestyle.

I think it is interesting the more they complain about the media the more coverage these people get.
