Chemical weapons are against International law. Russia used them in this country, on our own streets. And they've followed that up by using chemical weapons on civilians... including lots of children.

We had a duty to act.

There's nothing like dying children to make me want to send the bombers in.

I'd be fascinated to know what the real story is here. It's obviously not the official one / the one that's being reported or, at least, that's far from the full story... I wonder if the true one will be in the history books some day?

If anyone is around to write them of course .

I don’t get why we started bombing on the same day and even a couple of hours BEFORE the investigators went to the site?
I also don’t get why Assad decides to use chemical weapons in an area he already controls and just as Trump was about to pull out of Syria. That won’t happen now.
He gained nothing.People say he’s just crazy but surely he’s not stupid.

I’d bet that this is not the end of it.I’d put money on more strikes and possibly getting dragged back in there in the coming weeks or months.

Exactly. Neither of these things make any logical sense at all, yet its the story we're sold. They don't even bother to come up with anything particularly sound these days; they know that most people won't be paying any attention at all, and of those that are paying attention most will just swallow the official version of events without question, and those who don't will be brushed off as "conspiracy theorists" .

There's definitely something "more" in the works and it in my opinion there's no question that it ties in with the recent "attack" in England and diplomatic expulsions etc.

We're still not sure the chemical attack in our streets was from the Russian state itself though, or if their weapons fell into the wrong hands.

I really hope we’re not going to try this again soon.Russian jets have been patroling the Syrian skies for the last 3 hours.
Reporter on the ground in Syria on Sky News says it’s important to asses the next 48 hours as a Syrian,Russian or Iranian response may be on the cards in the next days or weeks.

Bloody warmongers ,1st we had the load of utter BS about the poisoning to get us in the mood to go against Russia, then we've had photos of children to make our hearts melt so everyone backs this onslaught ,May has bitten off more than she can chew if she starts on Russia and their friends

I have mixed feelings on this one Chuff. I do believe everyone should stand up to anyone committing that kind of genocide, especially for the children - but another part of me feels why should the West always have to get involved with countries who are so bogged down with religion, which enables such zealots in the first place, they are unable to sort themselves out.

I firmly believe some religions hold countries back and are a breeding ground for dictators and psychopaths.

I'm sort of relieved. It was done quite well, all considered. Targeted strike avoiding Russian and Iranian positions. Only chemical and military facilities targeted.
BBC claims Trump wanted more, but was persuaded by State and Defence departments.
All in all, a world war avoided. So far.

True. But it's not always about religion. Assad, like Saddam was, is a secular dictator. Religious and tribal wars may start though once he is removed, like it happened in Iraq. The whole Middle East is a mess. Starting from the fact that the borders were drawn by colonial powers without much thought for what groups live where.
