This was the team I came up with.

Schmeichel

Casilas of Spain came close, but I chose Schmeichel. Schmeichel played a major role in helping Denmark pull of one of the great shock wins in 1992.

Thuram

Thuram was a top defender from France's victory in 2000.

Maldini

The only player in my team that didn't win the championship, he did reach a final in 2000 and had many great performances in many championships.

Another of France's 2000 winning defence, Blanc also played well in the two previous tournaments in 92 and 96.
