I have just read that she was burgled of her engagement ring given to her by Carl Woods...you could easily misinterpret that as though it was a burglary
....however if it was only the engagement ring it seems more likely her and her boyfriend have had a row and he has taken his ring back and its got physical...
I dont know why they just dont name him...its like its all being dragged out for publicity....

As to why police go ahead with criminal trials with a victim statement is because if it’s deemed in the public interest and there is enough evidence to secure a conviction without the victim’s statement

As this is front page news even if Katie decided to withdraw a statement the police and cps would try to persue a conviction because men cannot be allowed to to assault women and get away with it

Many many assault cases get dropped if they are just every day people and the victim withdraws or refused to give a statement it can go on for many years that the same person is assaulted but are so messed up that they can’t break the cycle

I don't think the Police would drag out a criminal investigation to give anyone publicity really.

Its more likely that are still interviewing the neighbours, taking statements and gathering any forensic and physical evidence. Until he is charged he is innocent until proven guilty and so they won't release his name.

His silence on socials and Katie saying that she "can't say any more" and not mentioning his name to say she is with him point to him more than naming him really anyway
