While it's funny that his own stupidity landed him in jail, I agree victimless crimes shouldn't really earn jail time. Hit.him where it hurts and give him a massive fine.

Yea but the question is publicity for whom… was it encouraged by others for a cause, just a daft plan to promote himself, or for a combination of both?

I’m inclined to think elements of both in all honesty. I think his motivation was self-promotion but I think the idea was ultimately someone else’s. It doesn’t seem realistic that he came up with the whole scheme himself and then did such a bodged job of carrying it out.

I suppose if we ignore all the people who didnt come forward to report a hate crime because of the outcome of this case, then I suppose there isnt any victims.

I agree there will have been knock on effects, but as an individual his sentencing can’t really be based wider societal implications, especially when they’re really only hypothetical.

Perhaps if he had admitted to the charges he would have been given the community service order instead of the prison sentence

I tend not to have anything to do with narrow minded, only listen to one side, name callers..

But he can ask himself why jussie was given a single cell instead of being housed in the dormitories along side the rest of the cons, or why he was released after nine days if a 150 day sentence whilst still denying the charges...even to this day he still denies them, and cant see why people have an issue with his lies.

It's not gay privilege. It's celebrity privilege. It's being friends with the current vice President and former President and first lady.

Those people are better and more free than the rest of us because we allow them to be.
