It was 3.3m btw. Its 200,000 up on first sunday of BB9 and up on the first sunday of CBB5 btw, so its doing good.

Monday's are normally bad, so 2.9m for tonight. Like always Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will be stronger.
You really should stop comparing it to BB9 as there's no comparison, they're different shows which would pull different viewers.

Well it got higher than the first Sunday of CBB5 too.

The launch ratings are up on the Channel 4 site, the launch got 5.7m not 5.5m.

So far:
Friday(Launch)- 5.7m
Saturday- 3.1m
Sunday- 3.3m

Yeah I don't think we can compare to BB9
I would be expecting under 3million tonight but I think C4 will have a good night especially with the highly promoted documentary afterwards
but the first time we will be really able to judge the series ratings will be for Tuesdays show.

I agree, hopefully CBB6 does what the previous BB's have done. On Saturdays generally ratings would go below 3m, and increases slightly on sunday and monday and then there has always been a boost on Tuesdays. I think the show generally builds 300,000 more viewers than the sunday episodes, so really thinking about it on Tuesday it could get 3.6m or more. Also there are 2 live shows on Tuesday which we dont know what will happen, but it could boost.

New figures released by Channel 4 today show that the Celebrity Big Brother launch was seen by more viewers than it was initially reported.

5.66million tuned in, according to Channel4Sales.

Last night was very good. Tonight should get even more but whenever their is a special Big Brother Channel 4 never bother to advertise it! We just have to find out through word of mouth and tuning in that it is a live show.

I think the first show could get over 4 million tonight but the second show will probably get under 3.5 due to its late start time.

3.7m for a Monday is fantastic. Its usually a low rated day. Im glad it did well.

Edit- Channel 4 site is saying 3.75m which is 3.8m.

Last nights show as third in the 16-34's of the night, having a 34% share of 16-34's. very impressive
I can see the first show getting 4million tonight, but the second show wont do that badly. The second show during BB9 which was at 11pm got over 3million if I remember correctly.

I know, its stupid C4s fault. They were a bit dumb for putting the 2nd show at 11:05pm, they only did this to have Dead Set in the middle so it could get good ratings, but they should of put Dead Set on tonight after BB at 10.

Last night shoould have been like this:
9pm-10pm- 1st show
10pm-10:30pm A programme (dont know which one)
10:30-11:05pm 2nd show

Oh dear!! Why put an eviction show at 8pm up aggainst the soaps. C4 is just trying to make themselves look tough by agreeing to be put aggainst tough competeition, but all this is going to do is to deliver bad BB ratings.

3.3m for last night.
Pretty average ratings, not sure if Waterloo Road was the one to affect it, WR got 4.7m but doesnt it have the same target audience as BB??

Loads of my friends that watch BB too watched Waterloo Road, Ive never watched it before. I cant start watching now as i wont get it lol

The officials however was 4.1m... so the rating for the 2nd show on Tuesdays could go up by a lot in the officials.

Nothing outstanding last night, I do think the series will now rate lower then BB9 unless we have some more very cold weather on some controversy.

What is that in terms of percentage of the people watching during that time period?

Like I said in another thread the that actual viewing numbers aren't so important these days, it is the percentage of the viewing public that the show receives that CHannel 4 will be looking at.

Also it's impossible to compare one year to another year one on just viewing numbers, just because less people are watching TV in general now than they were a few years ago.
